One more thing...

Well now Calli has one more thing to cross off her "injury to do list" Sometimes I think this child has nine lives and has already used up five of them. I swear her medical records are longer than mine. Calli has had stitches, has almost drowned, has choked to the point of turning blue, she has had 911 called on her twice, she has been run over by a tire, broke her nose, been bitten by a snake, has had tubes in her ears, has had an EEG, has had several X-rays and a cat scan, she has had a spinal tap, and endless bruises, cuts and scraps, so I guess she felt she needed to add another to her list...broken arm.

While talking about our upcoming Disneyland trip, the girls decided that they wanted to start a penny jar. They came up with the brilliant idea to look under the couches for pennies and then had another brilliant idea to have Sadie hold the couch up while Calli crawled underneath in search for treasure. Well, Sadie's hands slipped and the couch came crashing down pinning Calli's wrist between the couch and the wall. Even better...it was her right hand, so I've been getting the opportunity to sit down with her each night and "write" out her homework for her. (I thought I graduated from college so I wouldn't have to do homework anymore.) She has been such a trooper through it all, going to school, writing with her left hand the best she can and sitting out during PE (which is just about killing her, she loves PE) She is so adventerous and fearless, I can only imagine what she will do next.

The Big Day!

Well, you can imagine our shock and surprise when Adam's dad announced that he was getting remarried just 6 short months after Adam's mom passed away. Adam would have sworn on a bible that his dad would have never dated again, let alone get remarried. The family went through every emotion imaginable trying to deal with it all but in the end it all came down to the fact that dad had found happiness again, and so we were happy that he was happy. His bride to be is darling. She is actually in our ward AND our next door neighbor. Her daughter Kami is also my 2nd councelor in young Women's. So now my 2nd councelor is going to be my step sister in law, her daughter Rylee and one of my cute mia maids will be my niece and her other daughter Hallee, who is Gentry's best little friend will now be her cousin...never a dull moment in the Peterson House.
During their month long courtship, we had all been able to meet Marilee, but since most of her children live out of town we didn't get the chance to meet them until the day before the wedding. The night before the big day, dad and Marilee asked ALL of us kids and grandkids to come to the church and eat pizza, meet each other, set up and visit, we all had a good time and seemed to mesh pretty well together.
Marilee, Kami and scott putting the finishing touches on the candle stands.
Here's me getting some direction from the couple to be.
Adam hanging out with his soon to be step Nephew Raiden.
The grandkids did great at meeting each other. Before long they were all playing with their new cousins like they'd known each other all their lives.

The big day!
Dad, Marilee and THEIR grandchildren!

The Happy Couple!
Congratulations, we love you both!

Sibling Rivalry!

When the parents are away...the children will play!! While Dad and Marilee were on their honeymoon, we brought in the New Year by getting to know our new step brothers and sisters.... All of Lyman's children ended up at our house after the wedding for New Years Eve, while all of Merilee's children went to Kami's house (Kami is Merilee's daughter that lives right next door and serves in the Young Women's with me) Here we were minding our own business, playing games when we get a phone call from "the neighbors next door, AKA the new family" telling us that we are being way to loud and to please keep it down....GAME ON. We called them back within a few minutes and told them, that we could smell them from way over here and to please keep the smell down. We were laughing so hard just thinking about how funny we all are. Well, as time went by we decided to step it up a notch... We took over the 2-tiered wedding cake that we had inherited from the wedding, stuck sparklers in it, lit them, rang the door bell and left it sitting on their door step with a note that said "Sorry about the noise. (we forgot to snap a picture of this one)Within a few minutes here came our revenge... a Huggies diaper box with a lit sparkler, full of dirty, smelly diapers and a note that said " Sorry about the smell"... We laughed and laughed. We tried to come up with something to take back over but really, how do you top a burning, poopy diaper? All I can say is they better sleep with one eye open;)

I think this could be the start of a beautiful relationship!!!
