Transfers Again!

TRANSFERS AGAIN!!! Can't believe mission is going by way too fast! Well the Lord did it again, completely not what we were expecting.... Hermana Barton will be leaving to Valencia to be a sister training leader and I will be staying in Sabadell for another transfer and will be getting cute little Hermana Vance! Who is currently in Pamplona with my old companion Hermana Requena!!๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm so excited she seems so cute!!!! We're going to have a lot of fun! I'm so excited to stay in Sabadell another transfer honestly I will now have had: two 6 months areas and 1 six week shafted, which both of those are not common at all! Super crazy! But being in an area for longer time is so great you really get to know every one! Well this last week with Hermana Barton was definitely one to remember! We started off the week with service in the residency with the old people. The lady who was in charge just left us with a speaker, YouTube,  a microphone and about 25 old people sitting in lined up chairs staring at us.... so naturally we sang High School Musical "Start of Something New" for them๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I was dying! All of these old people had no idea what we were saying and we were just singing all out! Hahaha but they all were clapping for us! Haha Only on the mission. Also this week was Sant Juan which is kind of like our 4th of July. Everyone has fire works but they  just randomly throw them in the street in the middle of the day๐Ÿ˜‚ I always heard growing up that we have to avoid the fiery darts of Satan but I never understood I until we were in a park bench teaching a lady about the restoration and some little boy lit a fire work and threw it at us๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Literal fiery darts of Satan...  We had a ton of really great lessons this week. Hermana Barton is amazing! We have found a ton of amazing people and have 2 people who have a date to be baptized!!! One is Angelina who is a girlfriend of a member and she is so good and loves the gospel and the missionaries! We are so excited for her! Also Jordanian who is Dominican and loves the Book of Mormon and is so sweet! We are so excited for both of these amazing daughters of God!!! The Lord is doing his work here is Sabadell! Crazy miracle,  we met with this young mom for the first time and she started telling us about this dream she had, she said she was in a dark place and couldn't see much and she told us she saw angels and that one took her to a muddy fast river that was filled of people, and the angel explained to her these were sinners and the people who had gone away from God. It sounded to me a lot like Lehi' s dream of the Tree of Life. We explained the Book of Mormon to her and began reading the story of Lehi's dream, we explained to her that people can receive answers in different ways, one of them is through dreams and explained that there was a prophet who had a dream as well. When we got to the part about the tree she stopped us and said "wait this was in my dream to" it was actually really crazy! We invited her to read 1 Nephi 11 of when Nephi sees the dream and learns all of the significance of everything!  Also I'm the worst this week I put our phone in my pocket and there just happened to be a hole in it... and well we lost out phone. We had been praying and looking for it everywhere and nothing. We then asked a man to use his phone and turns out he's an old investigator that had studied with the missionaries years ago and went to church and the bishops home and was going to be baptized but lived with his girlfriend. He now does not live with her and wants to meet with us!!!! This is God's work and he is directing it even if its through lost phones๐Ÿ˜‚Also I found a scripture this week that I have never read before that I just loved in Romans  35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?3 6 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  One thing I have come to learn on my mission is how really truly God loves every single one of his children so much! And I think he blesses his missionaries to feel a little bit of that love for those they teach! He truly loves us as a father and nothing, nothing we do, absolutely nothing can separate us from his love! I love that and I know it is true! I feel so blessed to be able to serve as his representative and to be a part of helping someone understand who is their Father in Heaven and who they are to him. The biggest blessing in my life! I love the mission! Everyone should do it!!! Love you all thank you for everything! Have a fabulous Week! ๐Ÿ’™Hermana Peterson

President and Hermana Dayton Farewell!

Well I said it last week but I'll say it again this week... I remember absolutely nothing from this week. The weeks are literally just faster and faster every day! And we have transfers again! So crazy it will be interesting to see what happens. Well this week something really big did happen we said goodbye to our mission President. President and Hermana Dayton. Wow, that was hard, we had our last Zone Conference and the missionaries going home always share at the end, "What the Lord has taught me on my mission" and President and Hermana Dayton shared what the Lord has taught them after 3 years. They are such amazing people! Wow I have learned so much from both of them and they both have helped me so much personally whether it be with my neck or college advice. They have just become my grandparents on my mission. I love them so much! At the end of Zone Conference we had a surprise for them. We made a video for them and we all sang our mission song on the stand. Hermana and President Dayton both just bawled as well as all of the missionaries.... me included I honestly was chocking through the song on my tears. The mission really just completely changes lives forever. I am forever grateful for my mission and the things that I have learned already and I still have so much to learn. The mission has made me a better person but I still have a lot of work to do. We also had some really good lessons this week, and have some really amazing people we are teaching. This week I really learned the power of sharing personal experience. The experiences we have really can bless others lives and help them understand. Also an investigator walked into church on Sunday and that was a miracle! My companion is amazing love her so much! Also my amazing adorable parents sent me the cutest necklace with my favorite scripture on it and wow it seriously just meant so much to me I feel like this is what I have come to understand on the mission so much. Just exactly who is my Savior to me  2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation. Also HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD HERMANITA FISHER!!!! She is such an amazing friend and example to me! She is changing some amazing lives in Texas!!!! Love you so much Emma!

Girls Camp!

Stake Girls Camp June 13 - 16, 2018
The theme was Birds of a Feather, Flock together. Each ward was a bird. We were the Swans. Our focus was that "Beauty comes from within" We all had matching hoodies with that saying.
Wednesday, First Day Setting up camp and tents.
During free time our ward went on a "Values Walk" We learned about each value and then did an activity for each. This one was knowledge and played headbands
Choice and Accountability. They had to get themselves into the order of their birth dates while standing on the log without falling off.

 Sadie and Ashley
Sadie loved hanging out with the beehives, especially Bradi Gates.
Sadie, Bradi and Emma free style dancing.

Using our energy to lift people.  It was pretty amazing. I was a skeptic until they did it to me. It was so cool and totally works.
We laughed that if bishop saw these pics he'd probably release us all. ha ha!
Using our energy to lift coolers...yep, it worked.
The 3 musketeers: Hallee, Miya and Gentry hanging out with Mabel Reedy.
Oh, this picture provided me lots of laughs through the following days.
These three began the trend of wearing their hoodies tied around their head with their ears poking out. It was the funniest thing. Pretty soon everyone at camp was doing it...

including us leaders. Oh.My.Goodness. We snapped pictures and then laughed about the pictures for about an hour and then took more pictures and laughed some more. We laughed until we were crying and we all had belly aches. It was so much fun!
 Cracking ourselves up!
 Gopher Faces.
This is our "Double chin Sexy" look.
We think KNOW we're pretty hilarious!
From these pictures Amber got dubbed the nickname of "Creeper" She was called that the rest of the time at camp.

 Gopher Face
We decided this one looked like Jenni had just farted...Haha! Later that night as we laying in bed we got the giggles again as we looked through the pictures.
Conga line down to the Amphitheater for "Camp Kick-off"
Bird Hunt - This was pretty entertaining. They split up the girls into groups and gave them all a different bird. Then they gave them a "call" to go with that bird. They took them out into the meadow where they were looking for bird eggs (gumballs) everyone on the team could look and find them but only the team leader could grab them. So when a team member would find an egg they had to yell out their bird call until the leader came to gather the eggs. It was so funny hearing all these different calls as they ran around.
Sadie participating in a bubble blowing contest.
Our cute path back to our camp.

Leaders: We had 16 girls and 8 leaders
Writing nice things about each other on their swan.
 Mother/daughter love
Loved, Loved, Loved hanging out with my girls at camp.
Gentry waiting in line at the bathroom
That night, one of my cute beehives in the the beehive tent started not feeling well.  They came to the leaders tent around 12:30 looking for a leader. I crawled out into the freezing cold and talked to them for a minute and then decided the only way they are going to settle down, go to sleep and Olivia was going to feel better was to get her a priesthood blessing. They all (6) insisted on going with us. So I walked all 6 beehives down to the priesthood camp for a blessing.  It ended up being a pretty powerful moment at camp, one that would continue to be talked about the rest of the time and during testimony meeting. I'm so glad I was inspired to take them.  After we got back, I walked them to their tent, told them goodnight and went back to my tent. Just as I got comfortable I heard this "ROBYN?" "Shhh, Don't wake up Robyn again" well, it had only been a couple minutes so of course I wasn't asleep yet. I got back out of my warm sleeping bag and went back over to their tent and they said "nevermind, Olivia's hair was caught in the zipper but we got it out" Haha!! Love working with these little stinkers.
Thursday, June 14th
During another free time from the stake our ward walked to a meadow for lunch and then solo time.

We each wrote a letter to our Heavenly Father.
Gentry was so cute in her little corner she found to write her letter.
Sadie found a log to write her letter on.
Lexi, Hallee and Gentry during rotations.
 Grub Time
 Gentry, Sadie and Jadyn
 Devotional by Mabel
That night we watched "The Greatest Showman"

It was hilarious as all the girls sang EVERY song and would gasp, cheer and boo at every scene.  It actually made watching the movie another level of entertaining.
Friday, June 15th
Our wards turn to clean the bathrooms.
Singing songs with the YCL at the amphitheater,
Gentry helping our ward with the stake devotional. She helped raise the flag.
Bishops from all the wards came up for rotations and testimony meeting.
 We showed him our "gift"
Bishop and Shane Flowers doing the "A-Rish-Ta-Sha" song.
 Ivins 2nd ward.
Bishops Rotations! Watermelon spitting contest. Sadie won in our ward.
 Heading to the ropes course.
Singing a song we had been working on for the bishopric before testimony meeting.  Like always, testimony meeting became one of my favorite parts. There's just something about girls camp testimony meeting that is just inspiring. Saturday, June 16th - The next morning we woke up bright and early and had our camp packed up before the devotional. We were off the mountain by 10:00 am and back home by noon. It was so good to see Adam again. I missed him a bunch.  This was the first year he was completely alone for the entire time and the first time he didn't come up for one of the days/nights.  Another great year at camp in the books. Time to Recoup for next year.  I LOVE YW!!
