I prayed that I would have Adventures on my mission and God is giving them to me...just a little too well. ha ha
So we have just found out that we will no longer have a church here in beautiful Vilafranca! There is a new one being built and it looks just like a Utah church. Everyone is so excited, it's huge and will have a real font! However, our contract is up at this church and the new one won't be done for a few more months so we might have to meet in a hotel for church for a couple months and do BAPTISMS in a different area or in the ocean. We can no longer have free English classes or noche de barrio which is kind of a bummer. Because if people don't want anything to do with the gospel we could at least offer them free English class because everyone wants to learn! Also spiritually I feel amazing! My testimony is growing so fast I can barley keep up. I can see myself changing everyday and I love it! Mentally is maso menos Spanish always kills haha but I can now say that 90 percent of the time I can understand and I can talk to people. I struggle still but I know what's happening and the lessons are becoming more 50 50 I find me and Hermana Rockhill having conversations in Spanish and I don't even realize it! It's the most amazing feeling! Physically... I'm dying haha I have had neck pains worse than ever and have gotten acupuncture which helps a lot! But if they don't get better president is going to take me into a doctor. We have had so many birthdays and make brownies every night! We eat A LOT of brownies haha. But oh my goodness miracles on miracles everyday! The other day we were talking to the cutest girl about 25 years old on the bus and we started telling her about the gospel and right before we got a cita with her she had to get off the bus we were able to quickly give her our card with our number. And I just felt so bad I felt like we needed to teach her so badly! And so I literally prayed out loud (quietly) on the bus that if we were suppose to teach her she would call us... a couple minutes later our phone rang and it was a random number my companion just looked at me she answered it and IT WAS HER! She had left her phone on the bus seat and had called from a public phone! We have her phone and are going to return it to her tomorrow and get a cita with HER! Miracles. I have also received many many answers to my prayers lately a crazy one was one night I was having a really hard night and telling my companion that I feel like nothing I do really makes a difference and how all I could saw in Spanish were small things that next morning I read paper my grandma gave me and the scriptures I would read for that day said "when you feel you're not making a difference" along with this scripture -Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise. 7 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls. I have read this scripture a million times and have used it a lot lately but it wasn't until then that I realized it was an answer. That if I do all I can the small and simple things I can say will make a difference because of course I am not the teacher it is 100 percent the holy ghost and they remember more what they felt than what they heard. Miracle. We have yet to have a simple smooth baptism we had to move little Alejandro's baptism, back because his dad's papers got lost for having the priesthood and so he has to receive the priesthood again but I know everything happens for a reason! And I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED FOR GENERAL CONFERENCE IN MY LIFE!!! I can't wait it is such a blessing we have! We have living prophets today! That is beyond an amazing blessing to be able to have guidance and direction today! We get to watch it in English to which is a tender mercy! I know God and Christ live and this is the true church! I know Christ truly and fully understands what we are going through and is with us every step of the way! I love this gospel and Spain!!! I feel so amazingly blessed to be here and that God trust me enough with these amazing people I adore everyone here! I love what I am doing! Love and miss you all!
One of my favorite scriptures this week was D&C 58:2-6
2 For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.
3 Ye cannot behold with your natural eyes, for the present time, the design of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the glory which shall follow after much tribulation.
4 For after much tribulation come the blessings. Wherefore the day cometh that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand.
5 Remember this, which I tell you before, that you may lay it to heart, and receive that which is to follow.
6 Behold, verily I say unto you, for this cause I have sent you—that you might be obedient, and that your hearts might be prepared to bear testimony of the things which are to come
