Quick Enterprise Trip

While Calli and Levi were in Arizona at a trailer expo, we had Koda for 4 days. Adam and I decided to take a last minute camping one nighter to Enterprise and took Koda with us….he was one happy pup!!

Driving to Enterprise (I took a lot of pictures to send to Calli, she was missing him)

Getting set up as he protected the area.

Gorgeous skies!

He got brave enough to venture out a little bit. He only wandered off once. He was really good to stay close and listened when we called him.

My view from the front door of the trailer.

That night before dinner, we went to the reservoir for some sunset fishing. Got a few bites and a near catch but it got off.

Grandpa and Koda :)

His near catch! You can see it jumping off the line.

Koda exploring
Beautiful sunset! We went back and ate J Dawgs and watched a movie before tucking in. Koda slept at our feet and slept all night!
Early the next morning, Adam got up and took the kayak out for more fishing. This time he caught one.
After breakfast, we went out walking
The reservoir was so full it was running across the street and down to the river

Cool waterfalls
After our walk and before lunch, we took both kayaks to the reservoir and rowed around for a bit.
So relaxing
Adam put Koda in the kayak with him
He was nervous at first but….
Soon settled in!!

He came back exhausted. He slept while we ate lunch, played games, and finished our movie. We drove home that night for church the next morning. Another successful one nighter! We’re getting pretty good at those!

Red Mountain Hike

Adam and I were called as Ma and Pa for Trek in June, we decided we’d better start walking and hiking more to prepare. We decided one Saturday to hike the Red Mountain.

We were on our way up when Curt and Ronda hollered at us from the dike and snapped this picture.

View from the first ledge

It's a pretty good hike. Hard on the legs and lungs going up and hard on the knees going down,

View from the Sugar Bowl

Made it to the top

The infamous dead tree.

Looking down the crack

St George Temple between the two hills.

It took us 5 hours but felt good to know, we could still do it.

April 2023

April Randomness!!
Dang, it's been crazy since we bought the business. So many extra days, extra hours and late night date nights. Adam and I are both being trained on accounts payable and it's a lot. It will definitely pay off but right now it's been tough and very stressful.
Arbys for win this one date night, late night :)
I love being back in Young Woman's. We are giving socks as birthday gifts. I made a couple examples and let them choose.

The northern lights were being visible for Northern Utah but I had to get up a couple times in the night JUST to check. I would have been sad if I found out there were visible as south as St George. But I didn't see anything. Better to be safe than sorry:)

With the kids coming over every Sunday, we started doing "Chore Challenges" to see who helps with dinner clean up and what job they have. It has been so fun. They always look forward to it.

We went to Johnson's Canyon several times during April to help Ryan and Jenni with their big metal building they are putting on their land. We drive up Friday after work, pull the trailer, set up, eat dinner and then sit around the fire or play games that night and then the next morning, get up bright and early and help all day...trenching, driving trackers moving dirt, moving building pieces etc. and then drive home Saturday night for church the next day. Although it's not as much fun as actual camping it is a nice getaway. Jenni and I had a funny experience while putting a tarp over the building pieces. We had spread out a tarp to dry but went to gather it just as a dust devil literally landed on top of us. We ran and jumped on the tarp and the wind just took it up with us in it. It wrapped us both up so fast, and then left as fast as it came.  I managed to jump out but when I turned around, Jenni was on the ground completely wrapped up. Haha! Ryan and Adam could not stop laughing.
Jenni and I running the tractors.

Fixing something on the Cain's trailer.
Late Friday night we were taking the building pieces off the trailer.
The trailer needed a bit of leverage to dump so we all got on the back and jumped...it worked. (Gentry came with us once)
We saw so many deer on the drive up...100's of deer. It was pretty cool!
On a Saturday that we didn't go to Johnson's Canyon, we got in a good hike in Snows Canyon.
I will never get tired of the blue skies and red rock.

Love Snow Canyon

I created a monster…I introduced Adam to Instagram reels! Haha!
This is our new nightly routine. We may next to each other send each reels! Haha!
Service project with youth
Amazing April skies
As a family, we zoomed with Madi and she gave us a tour of the Laie Tempe visitor center.
It was a cool experience.

Love this! While Emily Belle Freeman was in Israel she wrote “YW” on a piece of paper and put it on the prayer wall.
Adam and I “conquering” a couples challenge from Tok Tok. Haha’
