Scout Cave

Another Saturday Hike. We took off early Saturday, General Conference Morning and did the Scout Cave Hike. We listened to the first session of conference with our air pods as we hiked.
This was just about the perfect hike for me. It was mostly just walking along trails with a little climbing here and there but nothing too strenuous.
Always love  the views. I think I go hiking as much for the views as for the exercise.
Following Adam once again...he did great staying on the trail this time because we knew we had to be home a certain time and didn't want to get lost trail blazing this time. It was hard for him, but he did it. Haha!
Cool Stairway

Scout Cave!

Inside the cave exploring.

Heading back down.
Red Mountain in the distance.

It was so busy, cars were parked all along the street when we got back. Another great hike, with actually no incidences this time. We might be getting good at this whole hiking thing...knock on wood.

General Conference Weekend!

Love, Love, Love General Conference Weekend. It's always one of my favorite weekends of the year.  We woke up and did a big breakfast Sunday morning and then Calli and Mati (who was down visiting again) came over and spent the day.
Everything all set up and ready to go.

Listening to Conference and taking notes.
Making Caramel Apples during the break.

YUM!
And painting pumpkins during the last session.
Poison Apple Pumpkin!
All of the creators and their pumpkins.
Walle and Eva
Love  that our family did all Disney Themed Pumpkins!!
They turned out so cute!!

I definitely liked painting them rather than carving them. We'll see if we end up with a new tradition. I absolutely love having all my kids home and under one roof. We had a fun and uplifting time.

September 2020

Sunsets and soccer...my favorite. Gentry and I went to watch Jantzyn play on her high school soccer team.

Guess who's in charge of celebrating birthdays at JPS...:)

Calli had gone to Provo for the weekend when grandma called and said that her hamster had gotten out and if we had any tips finding it. We were on our way out the door to go spend the day in Brian Head with Cains so we swung by and looked for it.

We found it in the entertainment center and by the looks of it, he had been working all night bringing his food over from his cage and making him a comfy bed with the cardboard from a box that was in the entertainment center too. We could not believe the amount of stuff it had collected. Luckily grandma was at church so we cleaned it up and got Oats back in his cage and took off before they got home. Haha!

When we hang out with the Cains, the girls can always look forward to games with Noah and Charleigh.

Beautiful Night Sky!

Gentry shopping with us wearing Adams skull mask.
Another fire by Veyo.
We have had so many fires lately, here in Utah and the surrounding states that the sky is thick with smoke. We could barely see the mountains.
Saw this idea on pinterest and had to do it. Haha!

BYU played their first football game.
So happy to have sports back but it's was weird having no crowed in the stadium. You could hear everything the players are saying on the field (later in the season they added fake cheers and clapping) the officials had whistles that they held in their hands since they were all wearing masks. It's crazy to see the changes they've had to make to make it all possible.
Had a huge wind storm and almost lost our front tree.
Sadie and Gentry invited me to go running with them one night...this was my view most of the time. Haha!
They were nice to stop at the intersections and "pretend" they were stretching when really they were just waiting for me.
Cuties!
Such a great dad. Calli had called Adam and told him that her car started smoking and stopped running just as she pulled into work in Cedar.
As soon as I got off work, we jumped in the truck, borrowed Ryan's trailer and took off to Cedar to bring her home. His girls have him wrapped around their fingers.
Sadie decided she wanted to change her room around. She wanted to get rid of the dresser and wardrobe to make more room. We all got to work helping her tear down the furniture and haul it off.
Late that night we decided to make a quick run to Target for a desk and some pillows. We called Calli and asked if she wanted to come too.  We had a blast on our last minute shopping trip with our girls, although they took full advantage of it and kept throwing stuff in the cart. $300 later we were heading home with empty pockets and happy girls.
It's starting to come together. She still has a lot of ideas but is just doing it a little bit here and there.
So cute!

We texted Calli one night and asked if she wanted to do family prayers. She was at the gym but jumped right on face time. It was so funny, watching her try to bow her head at the gym.
Adam, Gentry and I took a quick Sunday ride to Enterprise to check out New Castle reservoir. We stopped to visit grandma on our way home.
Calli called us not feeling well one night. We drove over and took her a thermometer, soup, Air bourne and Vicks. It was cute seeing her in her cute little kitchen.
Gentry got to go to Lagoon with the YW for girls camp. She had a blast, Kristen sent me these pictures throughout the day.
Gentry and Parlee got SOAKED on rattlesnake rapids. What a fun and adventurous month we've had. Time to cool down and bring on FALL!
