SC Preference 2014!

Calli's first school dance was a "girls ask guy." She asked Damon Anderson.
She put soccer ball decals all over his truck and then wrote on the windshield, "It would be a 'BALL' to go to Preference with you" and then put a soccer ball on his seat with the letters of her name and #20 (her jersey number) in all the spaces on the ball. It was super cute, especially since soccer is such a huge part of her life.

 Writing on the windshield.

The soccer ball with her name and Jersey # on it.
 All finished.
She asked him on a Monday and anxiously waited for him to answer back. His answer came on Friday...
At school she was given a dozen red roses in first period with a note that said "Calli, YES!!!" She was very excited.
Calli spent the next couple days doing jobs for grandparents to earn some money for the dance.

Preference Theme: "I See The Light" from Tangled
The girls picked up the guys that morning and went shopping at Lins. (Sheri and I bumped into them at Lins while we were there shopping for the dinner for them that night) They had $20 to spend and had to buy all the ingredients to make a dessert. Then they went back to Adriana's house and made the dessert. Then went and picked up lunch at Costa Vida and took it to the Spinny Park where they ate their lunch and dessert, played volleyball and flag football. Later that afternoon they all returned home to get showered and ready for pictures, dinner and the dance. During her day-date I texted her to call me when she was on her way home so I could be there to help her get ready.
This was our conversation. So funny!
I helped her get mostly ready and then headed back over to my mom's where we were setting up the dinner. I texted Jen Anderson and asked her if she would take some pictures when Calli came to pick him up.

 Damon and Calli
This was one of the first dresses we found but she had to be sure it was "the one" so after going to every other store in St. George and not finding anything else she liked more AND finding the perfect boots to go with it, she finally decided it was "the one." I loved it! She looked beautiful!
So cute!
Hailey Anderson and Calli were twins so Jen sent me one of those as well.
For pictures, they went to a parking garage and the old airport. Lacey took the pictures for them and they turned out so awesome.

 The girls
Kenna Taylor, Jorrin Losee, Calli Peterson, Jordan Beck, Clara Camp, Adriana Morgan and Kaylan Huff

 The Guys
Devin Lee, Tanner Sampson, Warner Rigby, Brecken Moore, Cole Mooring, Lane Johnson, Damon Anderson (Swag) Damon was wearing a Swag shirt during the day-date and adopted the nickname Swag for the rest of the night.
 The Group

They had such a fun group. They were all Juniors and Seniors except for Calli and Damon. And from what I've heard an extremely popular group. (Not that it matters, just fun to note) Cheerleaders, Eshelles, Rugby Players, Football Quarterback, Basketball Players and of course, a Soccer Player.

Because the theme was "I see the Light" from Tangled, they let off lanterns...so cute!

After pictures they headed to my parents house where myself, Sheri, Jen Beck and my parents did the dinner. It turned out so cute!

Clara had a lot of the decorations so we just filled in where needed.
Lime Green, Turquoise, and White...so cute!
The lanterns were so fun and made it all come together.
The Tables.
All lit up ready for them to arrive.

Adam and my dad cooking the chicken and ribs. They also had potatoes, salads, rolls, slushy and cheesecake bites.
"The Staff and Crew" inside waiting for our turn at the grub.
After they ate they came in and played pool, Wii and Nintendo until the dance started. They headed to the dance at Tuacahn around 9:00 pm. Calli said this was her favorite part. She said it was so fun, especially the Mosh Pit. Around 11:30 pm we had the crew show up to our house to watch Tangled. I think the last of them left around 1:30 am. Calli had a great time and loved her first dance experience. It was so much fun being able to be involved and help, although I'm glad there are only 2 "girl's ask guy's" dances a year.

Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentines Day
Friday, February 14, 2014
We got Heart-Attacked by a anonymous person or family.
The girls woke up to roses, and mailboxes with treats and love notes inside from Adam and I.
While I was surprised with red roses (my favorite) a note that said "I love you the mostest, Marry me please? Adam" and huge balloon.
I made the girls pink heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast.
Did Gentry's hair in a cute heart-shaped braid (which she didn't like) so we changed it to just a ponytail.
And sent the girl off to school with their valentines in hand. These were Gentry's this year...I love them. Calli stayed home from school and caught up on her rest from a late soccer game the night before and to get ready for another game she had that afternoon.  While she slept I slipped out and took Adam to a Valentine Breakfast at Breakfast at Tifany's. It was so yummy. Afterwards, Calli and I ran to Mesquite and back for her tournament.
That night we had our traditional Family Valentine Dinner at Home.
We had heart-shaped pizza, heart-shaped bread sticks, Sparkling Apple Cider and I made for the first time Creme' Brulee for dessert.
Adam helped me torch them.
Aren't they beautiful? What a great "Love Day" we had!

President's Day Weekend!

Another busy weekend for the Peterson Family!
THURSDAY: Calli had her first game for the President's Cup Tournament in Mesquite. Her game was at 8:30/9:30 Utah time, so it was another late game, getting us home around midnight.
FRIDAY: Valentines Day (Another Post) and Calli's 2nd game of the tournament. This game was at 1:30 so Calli just stayed home from school and then we headed down with Terry and Jaicelyn for the day.
Calli and Jaicelyn love playing together.
SATURDAY: Preference Dance (Another post) In the midst of Preference and running around getting everything ready for that, Gentry had a birthday party and Sadie had an awesome Dance Experience Saturday afternoon.
Premier Dance Studio was hosting "Mia Diaz" and internet dance sensation. Sadie knew who she was already and was so excited that she was coming to her studio. She came along with her choreographer (from Dance Mom's: one of mine and Sadie's favorite shows to watch together) for a meet n' greet and dance training.

Sadie and Mia
Sadie got to sit and talk to her for quite a while. She said she was so nice and such a great dancer.
Sadie was able to get a t-shirt and have her sign it as well. She had soo much fun and was glad she was able to go. While Gentry was at her party and Sadie was at her Studio Adam and I ran to one of his jobs to look at it quickly.
I had to snap a picture of him "breaking into" the pool area.
SUNDAY: We got a phone call earlier in the week from my brother Kevin, telling us that the following Sunday he was being made Bishop. We told him, we'd be there. So early Sunday morning we drove to Payson, went to Sacrament Meeting, watched him get sustained, went to their home for a quick luncheon and then headed back home that night.
MONDAY: (President's Day) We slept in, tidied the house, ran some errands, waited for Adam to get home from work and then did hot dogs and Smore's by the fire pit and then watched a movie. It was the perfect ending to a crazy Weekend.
