So Clever!

As we were getting ready to head out to church yesterday, we told the girls to go grab each of their scripture bags. As we hustled out the door I took a quick glance and saw that they were each walking out with their bags. We made it to church a few minutes late and ended up sitting in the foyer. Gentry quietly found a corner and sat on the floor and opened her scripture bag. To our surprise this is what she had packed in her scripture bag instead of scriptures.
We laughed so hard, it's a good thing we were in the foyer. We decided that if she was that clever to come up with something like that, then she deserves to play with them. She spent the rest of sacrament meeting happily playing with her treasures....I think next week we'll be doing checks and frisking the girls before church. HE HE So funny:)

Gentry's turns 6!

I can't believe my baby is 6!
My girls get a big "friends" birthday party every other year. So I have a whole year to get it planned. I love planning big themed birthday parties. It 's so much fun to sit down with each of them and decide what theme, and cake they want that year. This year Gentry wanted a splash pad party....Easy. This was one of the simplest parties I've done, but still fun!

The Invites were "messages in a bottle"
Gentry at the Splash Pad, anxiously waiting for her friends to arrive.
On top of splashing around in the water they had otterpops, ice cream cone cupcakes, bubbles, a pinata' and games. The gift bags had sunglasses, bubbles, water squirters, leis, water balls, and candy in them.
Gentry going after the Pinata'.
Gentry opening her presents. She invited 15 friends and had all but three come. What a good turn out. She has such cute friends, it was a blast. As soon as the party was over we headed to Enterprise for the annual corn fest. Gentry and her Grandpa Petersons' birthday are just a day apart so we always celebrate them in Enterprise at the corn fest and then over to Adam's sister's house for a BBQ and cake and ice cream.
This year Gentry's request for her cake was interesting. I had her color me an example so that I could make sure I understood what she wanted.

Here's her request, a half pink and half blue, Blue's Clue cake.

I did the best I could - She loved it.
Six reason's I love Gentry on her 6th Birthday!
1. She tells me that she will always be my baby and will never stop giving me loves. She is such a cuddle bug, she still loves to snuggle, gives hugs and kisses. Recently, she has become the President of our families "Love Club."
2. She is HILARIOUS. She has always been so funny. We are always laughing and wondering where she gets some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth. ("I'm Bob" and "Mad Piggy" are some of my favorites)
3. She is so easy going. She is such a good and happy girl. She can be so shy at times. Not everyone gets to see her funny side. She won't talk to you unless she wants too. She still hides behind me from people.
4. She loves school and learning.
5. She loves to say the prayer and thinks every time should be her turn.
6. She's not afraid to try anything once. When we took her to Disneyland, we took her on EVERYTHING, and she would just sit there, we never knew if she liked it or not until we asked her if she was ready to go again and she would tell us yes or no.
Happy Birthday Bo, We Love you!

Lake Powell

I call this annual trip "My trip to the 2nd happiest place on earth."
I don't necessarily think it's Lake Powell itself that is so much fun, but rather the people we go with, the toys we play with, and the adventures we go on, plus it's always nice to spend a weekend like royalty.
Yes, I actually stayed on this and yes it's as awesome and big as it looks. We had a little family reunion with my whole family and my cousins family. We had 56 people in all. And yes, there was room for all of us to sleep on the houseboat. There was always so much to do and so many toys to play with that it never felt like there were that many people. We had our own little beach with everything imaginable...

SEADOOS
Adam driving around one of the Seedoos.

Sadie, Kassi (cousin) and Gentry having a blast on the Seedoo.
The kids were so good about always keeping their life jackets on that it was never an issue. They all knew that before they stepped foot off the boat, their life jacket had to be on. JET SKI'S

CANOES
Sadie, Kassi and Addie (cousins)
DAREDEVIL STUNTS
Calli jumping off the top of the houseboat which is about a 25 foot jump.
WATER TRAMPOLINE

BANANA
This was Jeremy's (cousin who owns all these awesome toys) favorite part, taking around the kids and dumping them off the banana. It was so funny!

HELICOPTER RIDES
Gentry going on a private tour of Lake Powell. He takes off and lands right there on top of his boat. It was an amazing ride with such awesome views.
Coming in for a landing!
GOOD COMPANY!
Our two families have always been really close, so it is always so much fun to get together and laugh, visit and play lots of fun Corney games.
FOOD!
We ate very well. There was always food and munchies.
Adam BBQ-ing hamburgers and Hot dogs for the hungry crew.
EATING!
It was quite an assembly line at each meal time.

SNOW CONES!
Calli and cousins (Talen, Trasen, Jadyn and Brin) enjoying their snow cones.
POKER!
We had a friendly game of 21. After we each had a chance to play we had a winners circle with the top 6 winners from each round, where they played for $700.00. My brother Terry was the
lucky one to walk away with his pockets a little fuller. We all decided it isn't really gambling when you're not playing with your own money, right? :)
MORE COMPETATIVE FUN!
Jeremy thought it would be fun to have a Jalapeno pepper eating contest. He was right! Although, I think those of us that watched had a little more fun then those that participated. Adam came out the winner of $100.00 after two rounds and eating 5 peppers.
Way to go Honey!
MOVIES!
The kids loved having movies on all day so they could come in from swimming and playing and relax for a minute before heading out again.
We had a great time, but all good things must come to an end. Jeremy driving the boat back to the marina....
With a little help from Adam. HeHe
Thank you Jeremy and Sharla for another Fantastic weekend, you are both such amazing and gracious people. Thank you mom and Karen for doing all the shopping, thanks to all those that helped prepare meals, Thanks to the other Losee family for all the fun new games you taught me (especially, Poke and Snort, 1,2,3 Look, Zip/Bong, and Ticket to Ride, I'm still laughing) and a Huge thank you to the whole family for such a fabulous time!!!

1st day of School!

I was a very happy mom as I picked them each up from school. They all came out smiling...whew! They all had a great day, loved their teachers, had some old friends in their classes and met some new ones. It is going to be a fun but busy year, I leave the house 5 different times between 7:45-3:30 to take and pick up. Each one gets picked up at different times, which is actually nice when it comes to homework. I'm usually just finishing up with one when it's time to go get another. They've also talked me into another year of PTO. This years President asked if I would be a Co-President with her, I said "No, thank you, been there done that." So when she asked me to be secretary I couldn't say no...here we go AGAIN! Gentry - Kindergarten
Sadie - 3rd Grade

Calli - 6th Grade
(I can't beleive I have a 6th grader and that my baby is in Kindergarten)

School Supplies!

The girls filling up their new backpacks with all their supplies for school.
Then we lined them up for Father's blessings! This was a family tradition that both Adam and I were raised with, so it's so much fun continuing this tradition.

Salon Day!

To get ready for school I took the girls in for Malibu treatments (Removes all the chlorine from their hair from all that summer swimming) and hair cuts.
Gentry decided she wanted it cut to her shoulders. I was very hesitant but it turned out darling.

Calli and Sadie looked like 2 little old ladies sitting under the dryers. They talked and played "I-spy" to keep themselves entertained. I laughed and laughed.

"KIRBY, KIRBY"

One of my favorite movies is "Sons of Provo" It is hilarious. I laugh/cry every time that I watch it. I introduced it to my girls and they fell in love with it as well. They can recite lines and sing every song from it. So when we heard that Kirby Heybourne was coming for a concert, we were so there.
We went with my family so again there were alot of cousins there. He was awesome, he did a great job and was so funny. He even sang a couple songs from Sons of Provo, which got a huge cheer from the crowd.
Aahh, he's was just as cute in person!

Final 3 Wishes!

As summer came to a end we asked each of the girls to name something that they wanted to do before school started. After all the "Disneyland" hollers we decided on Camping, Washington Rec. Center, and the fair.

1. CAMPING

We love camping. We have a favorite spot in Enterprise that we like to go to. There's lots of hiking spots, we can go fishing and ride the 4-wheelers.
As soon as we pulled in the first night it started to sprinkle and then out came the biggest rainbow, it was awesome!

4-wheeling.
By the end of the last day Calli and Sadie were riding these by themselves. They did so good.

Between the 2 ATV's we can fit our whole family. So we were constantly jumping on them and ride for hours.

We would load up our fishing stuff on the four wheelers and ride down to the reservoir, to go fishing and swimming.

Then we'd come back hang out, rest, and nap and then take off again.

On one of our rides, we came across a dry river bed where the girls found dozens of tiny frogs.

And what's camping without smores...

Hiking...

Games...

And homemade ice cream.

The second night Adam's sister and her family and Adam's brother and his family came up for the night. We all had a blast!
(Look how dirty Gentry is, HAHA I love it!)

Washington Rec. Center & Fair

2. Washington Rec Center
We used our one free week pass here from Dixie Direct. So we went 4 different times in one week. We love this place, it's so much fun! I forgot to take any pictures of us swimming but here's Calli on the climbing wall.
3. Washington County Fair
It has been a few years since we ventured out to the fair so we thought we'd try it this year. We had a good. time!
We saw the bear show which was pretty cool, the girls favorite part was when a bear rode a scooter.

Sadie and Gentry on the dragon roller coaster.

Calli talked me into going on the "Zipper" with her. Oh my Gosh. I almost lost my voice screaming and laughing so hard. There's not a whole lot that gets to Calli but this did. She didn't say a word the entire ride, just held on for dear life.
Gentry likes to take it easy on the slower rides.
It didn't take Calli long before she was ready for another big ride. This time she talked Adam into going with her. I forgot what this ride is called but I think they spent more time upside down than they did right side up. It was a fun family night!
