January 2020!

January Fun!!
I can never resist taking a pic of the amazing sky!
Instead of buying a trailer for the razor Ryan and Adam decided to rebuild one. These boys and their ideas!! They took one of the trailers from the JPS sheds and cut it in half and widened it about 2 feet. It was a major project that took about 2 full days, but they loved every minute of it! Jenni and the kids came up one day and hung out while they worked.
 Cutting it in half

Expanding it

 Welding

 Finished Product! I'm pretty impressed.
Love my ward and ward friends. Helen had a birthday so we celebrated earlier that day with lunch at Pizza Factory with Helen, Me, Andrea, Jenni, Glory and Amber. Then that same night some of the same people and some new ones went to dinner at Viva Chicken and then to Dixie's Got Talent.
Cute Parlee Stout from the ward was a finalist so we all went to support her. She did such great job. She didn't end up winning but she's gonna do big things in her future.
We even ran into other ward friends while there.
Talking to the "star" We had had so much fun together all day and that night that after the show we didn't want the night to end so we went to Neilsen's for frozen custard. Such a fun night, with fun friends! That same weekend our ward got split. Ward changes are never fun but the 2nd ward has been off the hook for the last 3 stake changes. People started calling us the untouchables. But our time came...luckily it wasn't too bad. They Split us right down 200 N. We are are still in the 2nd ward but our neighbors across the street now are not. I felt like my toes were hanging over the edge and we barely made it. We lost a lot of great people, good active families and people that have been in Ivins and the 2nd ward forever...Johansens, Jolleys, Whites, Gublers, Wilson's, Craigs, just to name a few.
I can't believe this day has come...by baby is going to her first dance...Preference (another post) We went out shopping for dresses for the big day...stay tuned for the one she picked!!

Such a doll.

Kassi's Farewell and Ice Castles

Saturday, January 25th we drove to Herriman for Kassi's farewell. Sadie had hair school that day plus Austin was down with the BYU team for a scrimmage that we went to watch after hair school.  We also had a baby shower for Weston and Breeana at 1:00 so we didn't head out until 3:00pm. We met at grandmas and picked them up while the girls and Jason drove grandma's car.
Around Nephi we hit the thickest flog. It extended all the way to our hotel in Lehi. We were glad to  finally get there. We checked into our hotel, changed into warm clothes, met up with Austin (who had just got back from St George, grabbed his stuff and drove to Lehi) Then went to Zuppas for dinner and hit the road again. This time off to have a little fun! We decided to go to the Midway Ice Castles. We had gone back and forth about going because of distance, time of night and price but in the end we ended up going...I was just praying it was going to be worth it!
It had been a while since I had been up Provo Canyon. I loved it, such a cute little ride.
I instantly fell in love with Midway. I would move there in heart beat...if I liked the cold and snow.
 Midway Ice Castles!!

As soon as we got there we knew we made the right decision. It was so cool!

 The entrance

So much to see and do. There were slides, fire dancers, fountains, selfies spots, caves, nooks, crannies and lots of places to explore.
I loved the lights throughout, it made it so magical.

Heart bench cared from ice

 Fire Dancers
Reminded me the Matterhorn at Disney

 One of the many caves

 So pretty!

My gorgeous girls!! Picture spot while in line for the slide!
Slide exit. The slide was so much fun. They give you mats to sit on, so you go flying down the ice.
 The crew!

In the end, it was definitely worth it! So awesome and something we'd never done before. We got back to the hotel around 11:00pm and crashed.
The next morning we went to Kassi's farewell and back to their house for a luncheon.
She did such a great job and will be an awesome missionary! Goodbyes are so hard. See you in 18 months Sister Peterson!
Cousins by chance, best friends by choice. These two are so close.
It was so hard watching them say goodbye.  They will miss each other so much!
Trasen and Gentry saying "goodbye" too before we hit the road. hehe! It was a great weekend, fast... but great!
