November Fun!

Random November-ness!
Now, that Calli's mission fund is full she is loving having a paycheck each week. She goes on these random little shopping trips all the time. This time she was so giddy about her purchases. She walked in and said "I bought a Christmas Tree"
Didn't take her long to get it all set up. So cute!
The family had a day of shopping too. This is how Adam "shops" when all us girls are in Bath and Body Works.
Sadie's been working really hard on soccer. I love seeing her in the backyard working on drills by herself. We've got her and Gentry set up with a trainer now. So hopefully, we'll see leaps and bounds from them both.
Another amazing, desert, fall sky!
Took a nice Sunday Stroll withe dogs to the dike.
And then wrote letters to our favorite missionary, Talen.
Sadie gave a talk in church and her pose' al showed up to support her. I sure love this group of friends she has. They are always there for each other cheering each other on.
Caught these guys ditching Sunday School. They thought if they went out front on the grass and read their scriptures we couldn't get mad at them.
This poor guy had been so busy and stressed at work lately that he comes home and falls asleep as soon as he sits down. Bring on December!!

Thanksgiving

It was Peterson Thanksgiving this year which means Thanksgiving is at our house. We had about 30 this year. Ben and Stacy's family, Cliff and Susie's family, Isaac and Lindee's family, our family and dad and Marilee.

Good food, good company good weekend.

Grace was of course the center of attention all weekend.

That night we lit and sent off wishing lanterns. The rest of the weekend was filled with work (I had to work Black Friday at Tuacahn) games, more food, munchies, the BYU game and fun!

Teh week of Thanksgiving for FHE we made this Gratitude pumpkin. It was really cool to see all the things we could come up with to fill the pumpkin.

It was a great holiday.

Calli's 19th Birthday

Calli had the typical "adult"birthday this year. She really wanted to go snowboarding on her birthday but with the lack of snow Brian Head postponed their opening day.

She had to go to work on her birthday and "adult"
Good thing Tyson helped her "work in style" He bought these for her and she wore them all day at work.
We took her and Christian out to dinner that night to the hibachi grill at Samurai 21. They loved it. Then came home and opened presents. She got new snowboard googles, socks and scarf.

She also got some sweats, a hoodie and Forgotten Carol tickets. Luckily, she was able to hit the slopes just a few days later.
Happy Happy Birthday Calli. Can't believe you are 19!!

Wisdom Teeth

In anticipation of turning her mission papers in Calli got her wisdom teeth.
She was hilarious and emotional, just like we thought she'd be.
I took a dozen videos before even leaving the parking lot. At first she was so concerned where her lip and tongue was. She kept asking is this my lip? In one of he videos she asked me to "hit her" chin because it was "like a rock" and she couldn't feel anything. She then went on and on about wanting to go shopping especially to Old Navy. She then got worried about her phone because she couldn't remember the password to get in it and then became very emotional because she couldn't call her friends. It was great! Then we drove to Lins to meet Adam who was getting her prescription. She was so mad we made her wait in the car. She really wanted to go in and drive a cart. She said they wouldn't get mad at her because she "didn't have any teeth." She tried to convince us to let her go ride one by giving us a  "It's a one in a life time opportunity and you  have to make the best out of each moment" sermon. I told her she was medicated and would probably wreak it, at which she got upset and said if "I can walk around this car then I can go drive a cart. ok?" Well, she did so she did.
Calli getting her way and being able to drive the cart through Lins "without anyone getting mad at her.
Once she got home she was feeling much better.

Gracie came over in her matching onsie and ate ice cream and watched movies with Calli all day.
She was so chubby. We couldn't help giggling and taking pictures.

One of her teeth ended up getting infected, so she was chubby and down and out for a week.
She kept herself entertained by sleeping, watching movies and painting her pumpkin.
It turned out so cute!

On the mends. She was back to the work the next week and is doing really great. She has loved watching and re-watching her post-surgery videos.

My Birthday!

My Birthday was a huge surprise this year. We had gone to the Real Game as my birthday present and wasn't expecting anything for my actual birthday. I was shocked when I walked down stairs and saw that Santa had come a month early.
I couldn't imagine what my family had gotten me. I hadn't hinted or said I needed anything except for some new bras:) and knew Adam wouldn't have gotten me those so I was in suspense all day long. I had to teach preschool, then Adam took me to lunch then I had a YW meeting (the day before I had just got called back into the YW, a birthday present in itself. I'm so excited and I get to work to with Gentry. Cool Story, we just got a new bishopric the week before so no one was expecting chances this quickly but when they called Helen Furr in to the be the new YW president because Amber Gillette's husband was just put in the bishopric, she walked in and said "I know, and here are my Councelors") Anyway, that night we had Sadie's soccer banquet and after that I had a another YW meeting. So by the time everyone got home it was about 10:00 pm before I got to open my presents.
 Loved the electrical tape!!
They got me flowers, Kettle Corn popper, a bracelet Adam bought in Ohio, my favorite Christmas candle, Exploding Kittens game that I fell in love with at the Cabin, refills for my label maker, new heads for my Sonic toothbrush AND a gift card to VS for new bras:) On top of that the girls surprised me with a new shirt, watch and necklace they picked out and shopped for by themselves.
Wow! I was so surprised. They all did so good. It was definitely a Birthday to remember.

Halloween Fun!

Halloween 2016
Had our ward trunk or treat and we decorated our car again.

My cute little Minnie helper.
With mine and Calli's free tickets we took the family to Thriller. It had been a couple years since Adam and I had been and this was Gentry's first time. We all loved it. It was better than I had remembered.
Gentry liked it so much she went back again with Hallee. Kami sent me this picture.
 Annual tradition of carving pumpkins!

This year they carved and painted. Calli and Christian made the VW Van, Sadie painted her's and Gentry made her to look like her costume.
This year Gentry (Scrump, Lilo's doll from Lilo and Stitch) was the only one to dress up and  go trick or treating.
She loves to be comfortable so Onsies are right up her ally.
After trick or treating we went to Kami's for dinner an games and then to a neighborhood haunted house.
Klarissa and Gentry. This was Gentry's first Haunted House. It was actually really good. We had a great time. Happy Halloween 2016!
