Buena Aventura!

This week was fantastic..... BONAVENTURE WAS BAPTIZED!! Wow honestly such a miracle a 2 week baptism! He is someone that the Lord has been preparing to receive the gospel! He is amazing! The baptism went so well, a recent convert baptized him, he shared his testimony after and he said that the Hermana's told him that he would feel something very strongly when he was baptized and he said that when he came out of the water he really felt something so so strong, he felt that God was there and that he loved him and was proud of him! And he now has his baptism light!! Ahh it's just a real thing wow the holy ghost is amazing it's literally a gift! And he told us that he wants to serve a mission! He is amazing! Anyways also this week was just an adventure in general, so yesterday we were contacting in a park and we were talking with this young man who was sitting alone and there was a million people in this park literally a million (that's why we went to go contact) and all of a sudden there is a huge bang! That just shook the whole park and people just start screaming and running as fast as they could down the street, I have never been so terrified in my life, I just thought about what happened in Barcelona and I stood up off that park bench and was getting ready to grab my companion and run, then I saw these people dressed up in like giant costumes chasing the people! And I guess it's some kind of festival here that they run from people in costume while the people dressed up try to smack them with poles, I don't know Spain has a lot of interesting holidays, so anyways literally was shaking for a good 30 minutes after haha. Ok,  funny story for the week, wow I love Hermana Robinson she makes the work so fun! We were at a family Home Evening one night with all of the young men and women and Bonaventure and he showed up in like a cute little nice button up shirt and pants that he had bought to look nice so we told him like "wow Bonadventure your clothes look so nice!" And my companion just yells in the middle of everyone "wow Bonaventure! QUE RICO!" and I just fell on the couch laughing my head off and she asked why I was laughing, she's like "Hermana's Peterson that means it looks good right," and I told her "Hermanita that only works for food, if you say that to a person that means you look hot or sexy! And we both just died laughing😂😂 I love the mission, lucky Bonaventure speaks French and is still learning Spanish so don't think he could understand😅 Blessings. Today was so fun as well we went with our whole district to a trampoline place! It was so much fun! We were the only ones there and I taught one of the elders how to do a back flip, front flip and my baby Hermana Robinson did a back flip, I just felt like such a proud mom! Also an elder nailed his eye on his knee and now he looks like hunchback but it's all good! Woah woah woah also another crazy miracle I was talking to the Hermana's in the other area and turns out George (who was baptized in Vilafranca) that he lives here now and I was able to call him and help him! (Also I will not have preparation day until Thursday) My depression did come back for 1 day but it's honestly amazing just to see how the Lord really does love us and comfort us in all moments  18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. This is his work and he is heavenly father so so so loving! Love you all!

Just living the Sueno! (Dream)

The weather has been cooling down a ton so that's a huge blessing. Also speaking of blessings this week, I saw one of the craziest miracles of my mission it was amazing! OK, so y'all already know Bonaventure; he's the best, he wanted to be baptized but always was super hesitant about it but he kept telling us he was waiting for his answer but the thing is he was waiting for a big answer for something really crazy to happen, so we shared a video with him from Elder Ballard about receiving answers and told him that a lot of times our answers don't come just like that and with big experiences but more times than not we get our answers little by little. He had been reading and praying every single day, we even did a kneeling prayer with him and he asked God in that moment if it was true and so right.  When we left that cita (appointment) my amazing companion turned to me and said "we're going to fast!" And our ward mission leader had helped us in that cita and so he decided he was going to fast with us so that Bonaventure could receive an answer. So we started fasting that night and we fasted all day long that next day until 8 o'clock that night. That next day we went to teach Bonaventure and we were teaching him the gospel of Jesus Christ and when we started talking about baptism I asked him how he sincerely felt about his baptism. And he said..."Well I had a dream"... he told us that in his dream he was in his country in Africa and he was with all of his friends. And one of his friends happened to be Joseph Smith, then he asked Joseph Smith if all of the things we were teaching him about the Book of Mormon and everything was true. Joseph Smith told him yes that it was true and Bonaventure told us that he said in his dream that he also said that he knew it was true. He said he woke up and he just felt so good. We just started freaking out and telling him, "that's your answer!" He got super happy and told us that he wants to be baptized this Saturday!! WOW WE ARE STILL ON CLOUD 9!!!! It was literally a huge answer to our prayer and our fast! FRIENDS, FASTING WORKS!!!!!!! I have just been proved time and time again on the mission that fast works, that it brings miracles and that God really does hear our prayers and he is aware of every single one of his children. It amazes me the things God provides to his children who want to follow him! Wow God loves his son Bonaventure! And so ya we are working with him a lot this week because we have a ton to teach him and on top of all of that he speaks Spanish pretty well but his first language is French so that's been super interesting but somehow its working😂 crazy miracles, God exists, this is his work. But besides that this week has been bomb, my companion is doing amazing and is just a boss in her training, and her Spanish is coming along so so well! Although the other day we contacted someone and instead of saying "we are going to call you" she said "vamos a tocarle... "(we are going to touch you) I literally died laughing in the middle of the contact. She's great, love her. But that's about it we are just out here eating way too much food and living our best lives, the mission is amazing, and it is all because God is directing this work. Thank you all for all of your love and support, have a killer week! Love, Hermana Peterson  3 John 1:4  4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Hermana Bangerter showed me this scripture the other day and I absolutely loved it because that is the ultimate goal, I love love the mission but the biggest blessing I can think of is to one day raise my family and kids in the Gospel.

Zaragoza!!

Hey groupyyyy!!! Transfers again what?!? We just had transfers!! Well I finally left little Catalunya and I'm in Zaragoza it's so pretty and green here and God done answered my prayers... the weather is so much cooler here and it rains, #hisgrace. Wow I've been here less than a week and I already love it so so much! The members here are so amazing oh my goodness I already love them all and they all just want to help with missionary work! There are a ton of Africans here! We have two wards but they are working on fixing the church so we don't have a church building right now and we meet in a giant like gym with no air conditioning or anything it's so hot everyone was just dying on Sunday but at least the lights don't turn off randomly like they did in Vilafranca😂 Zaragoza is such a good place! Also things changed so I will be with Hermana Robinson all of this transfer, and another Hermana came so the other Hermana are in a trio until Hermana Lusur goes home and then they will just be companions, so I live in an apartment with 5 missionaries!!! And it's literally so fun!!! It's a party!!!! Something is always going on! We all sleep in the same room on mattresses because it's the only room with air conditioning. And it's impossible to get out of that room with all the Hermanas. I stepped on my poor companion last night trying to use the bathroom in the middle of the night😂 Also, can I just brag about my companion for a hot second! I adore her!! My little baby is so cute!!! She is so so funny and just wants to work so hard and talk to the whole world! And her Spanish is amazing for being in her training!!! I love her with all my heart!! It's so fun but a little hard, it's hard just being the one in charge and being the one who talks all the time and never getting a little mental break jaja but it's so good I love being a mom!!! And we have already seen a ton of miracles here we have 3 amazing children of God who have dates to be baptized we are currently working with a young man name Bonaventure who is amazing and is sincerely praying and ready and looking for the truth, we are excited for him! Also, it's just a huge adventure here, the other day we started talking to a man on the bus and we got to our stop and my companion got off the bus but I went to hand him a church card and as I went to get off my wallet fell out of my bag and he yelled at me to stop so I picked up my wallet and stood up and I just saw the doors close and my my little new companion with just the most terrified look on her face and the bus starts driving away and she just starts running with the bus as she's smacking the door with her hand and I was just in shock and didn't know what to do and just stood there, luckily the man we had just talked to stared yelling at the bus driver to stop and then everyone starting yelling so I got off but it was so funny!!! It would have taken me about a half hour away from her😂😂God lives. Also my cute companion showed me a talk from President Monson that just might me my all time favorite talk it is called FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY-From October 2008 I encourage everyone to go read it, it has honestly changed the way I look at my mission and just life in general. "This is our one and only chance at mortal life—here and now. The longer we live, the greater is our realization that it is brief. Opportunities come, and then they are gone. I believe that among the greatest lessons we are to learn in this short sojourn upon the earth are lessons that help us distinguish between what is important and what is not. I plead with you not to let those most important things pass you by as you plan for that illusive and nonexistent future when you will have time to do all that you want to do. Instead, find joy in the journey—now." Love you all, I know God lives and that this is his true church on the earth today and that his plan is perfect! And it is all made possible through his son and our Savior Jesus Christ who loved us so much that he came to fulfill the will of his father and who made it possible for us to become clean from our sins, and find peace joy and comfort that the world does not offer and more than anything that thanks to what he did for us we have a chance to return to our Heavenly Father and our family with arms open wide to welcome us home. That will be worth every second and every single hard moment we have in this life.  Love you all, keep on keeping on and I will see you in 4 short months!!!

Wilson gets baptized!

EVERYTHING IS CHANGING!!! Oh my goodness, this transfer is going to be crazy, so I am leaving Sabadell after being there for 6 months, and I am finally leaving Catalonia after being there for 14 months, and now I will be in the middle of Spain right by Madrid so big difference. Also, I am going to be training a new missionary! She has been in the mission for one transfer and so I will be finishing her training! I'm so excited so I will be going to the training meetings and everything! But kind of with an interesting situation so I will be training her for a couple weeks and then one of the missionaries that is living with us is going home early for school in a couple weeks so then we are are going to be put into a trio with Hermana Bangerter!!!! From the MTC!!!!! Also forgot to mention that my baby is from St George!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I'll keep y'all updated on now that goes down. It's gonna be an adventure! But anyways THE LORD HAD A BAPTISM!!!!!! WILSON WAS BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY!!! Ahhh it was so amazing, Wilson is so amazing! He is such a miracle! Also an investigators from the elders Marvin was baptized that same day (the son of the less active member that just walked into church on Sunday) and they were both BAPTIZED together!!! Ahh it was such a special service!!! The spirit was so strong! The ward is so excited to have 2 young men in the ward again because there are no young men in our ward! A ton of people came and both Marvin and Wilson bore their testimonies at the end!!!! Such a happy day! This is honestly what the mission is all about and makes all of those hard day's walking in the sun and getting yelled at and rejected all worth it! To see someone really come to understand and know their Heavenly Father, and be baptized, and wow more than anything just to see the light they have after! It's so real!! We had a lesson with Wilson yesterday as well and he just glowed he just had this light and spirit he had the holy ghost and you could see it and feel it. He just looked so happy! Ahh the church is so true! So this week has mainly been preparing for the baptism and saying goodbye to people and it was so hard but so sweet! Ahh the members in Sabadell are amazing! One cute little member family made me a mug with a picture of my name tag on it that said Hermana Peterson and printed out pictures of us on cute papers and gave them to me! Also Wilson was  cute and got me a little fan, and got us another giant thing of flowers😂 We also had one last lesson with Joe and I shared my favorite scripture with him from 2 Nephi 22:2 and just testified about the joy comfort and peace that comes from the gospel that isn't found anywhere else on the earth. And that this gospel is true joy. And he just started crying, and just told us that that is what he needs in his life, he told us that a few nights ago he prayed to God and made a promise with him that he would be baptized... wow! Also one of the hardest parts was saying goodbye to Ruben and Maria we went over to their house and Maria just cried and cried and I just sat there with her crying and hugging while we all talked about the time we have had together and Ruben's baptism!! Aahh a huge part of my heart is in Sabadell! But the adventures continue I guess. I'm actually super unsure about everything happening, but if I have learned one thing on my mission it's that the Lord knows!
