Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving was with the Losee side this year!
After our feast we played speed, basketball,
hung out, visited and looked through the Black Friday ads.

The cousins entertained themselves by making up a game called "Shark Attack" Where there is a shark behind the curtain that tries to grab and pull in the victims in while the life guards try to save them. It was so hilarious!
Adam had to get in on the action.

Later that night we all went to my parents house and hung out. Sadie trying out a new do!
Group Hug!
We had Ben and Stacy's family and ALL the cousins at our house for a sleepover. Friday morning Stacy and I went shopping for a bit while Adam and Ben kept up with the crew.  That night we met up with everyone at Tuacahn.

One of my favorite traditions.
It was fun going with the whole family and so nice to have done before we get to busy.
Some of the cousins with Santa!

 Our Family!
Saturday most of the family left so we had a day of putting the house back together, running errands and going to Jaicelyn's soccer game. That night we had Isaac and Lindee over for left overs and games.
Gentry enjoying the whip cream on her pie.
It was a great weekend full of fun, family and food!

Geck-a-Thon

Gentry ran her first Triathlon for her school Lava Ridge (their mascot is a Gecko hence the Geck-a-thon)
300m Swim, 4 mile Bike Ride and 2 mile Run
Cousins at the starting line!
Ready to swim, the water was freezing.
Gentry swimming her 6 laps (12 pool lengths) She was so tired.
Her and Hallee off to the bike portion.
They rode from Sand Hollow to Lava Ridge
Running her 2 miles. (2 laps around the field and Gubler park.)
 Heading for the finish line!
She Finished!! 1:08:08
What an achievement! And so much harder than you'd think. I ran the last mile with her and was dying and she had just swam, biked and ran. So proud of her!
Cousins at the finish line! They all made it!
A few days before, I had taken Gentry and Hallee out on the bike trail to practice and we got caught right in the middle of  this accident.
a truck at SCHS caught fire.

We had to wait for the crowd to disperse so we could pass. So sad.
About a week later they had a ceremony for all who participated.
Mrs. Gubler presenting Gentry with her certificate.
 Congrats!

Calli's an Adult!

On Sunday, November 22, 2015 Calli turned 18!!!
She celebrated all weekend long!
On Thursday Jake, Jadyn, Tyson and Lacey took her to opening night of Mockingjay.
On Friday, she went snowboarding with Brodey, Hannah and Lauren
Due to her asking for snowboard stuff and her going before her birthday she opened her presents Thursday night at midnight after the movie.
 Snowboarding Gloves
 Googles
 and Bindings
Getting her bindings on her board and all ready to go.
She also got a candle from Bath and Body Works (She is a candle hoarder lately, she loves them)
On Saturday, we woke up bright and early and drove to Provo and back for the BYU game.

No better way to celebrate than with cousins.
It was also Senior Night. When Kurt Henderson was honored they said due to his parents serving a mission he would be escorted by his sister Sarah. (Sarah and Calli were on the soccer team together her freshman year so that was exciting)
Cousins bundled and huddled keeping warm.
The sun was shining for the first half and kept us quite warm but as soon as it went behind the bleachers and we were in the shade it was chilly.
BYU won so we headed to the Victory bell.
Calli, Sadie, Gentry and Ashlyn ringing the bell.

and meeting Francis Bernard.
Sunday, her actual birthday was also Lyman and Marilee's welcome home so she celebrated with cake and family at the luncheon. Overall I think she had great birthday.
18 years ago today this amazing young woman made me a mom for the first time. She has been an absolute joy the 6,570 days she has been in our lives. She is the most adventurous, caring, kind, athletic, spiritual, hilarious, determined, smart and thrill-seeking girl I know. She is such an example to me in living the gospel. She gave up an opportunity to play soccer at a College in Colorado because of her dream to serve a mission. (I miss her already just thinking about it) She is such a good kid and has made raising a teenager actually fun. She is one my best friends and I'm so blessed to have her in my life. Happy Birthday Calli. We love you!

Senior Pics

Can't believe I have a Senior.
