Christmas Eve
We kicked off Christmas Eve night with a special FHE by Calli. She taught us about Christ's birth and his Atonement and talked about how at Christmas time we need to celebrate his life and not just his birth.
Gentry leading the song.
After dinner we came home and opened our pajamas...
With my new Cricut I made all of the shirts.
Hashtags on the back with our most used saying.
Love my girls!! So happy to have have them together for Christmas!
Whoops! :)
After Pajamas we opened gifts from Calli that she had brought back from Spain. We each got a cute backpack, Spain candy, notebook with handwritten note a ring and trinkets. I also got a Barcelona Magnet, Madrid Temple picture and...
Spain Nativity complete with a "pooping man" The pooping man is a tradition in Catalonia. Every Nativity even big ones outside of businesses have a pooping man, oddly I love it!
Sadie also got an anklet, necklace, starfish and hair thing.
Gentry got a shirt, anklet, starfish and egg bouncy ball.
Adam got a keychain from Peru, a styles, a deck of cards and the pooping man to go with my nativity. It was so much fun! We loved seeing all the stuff she brought home.
The rest of the night we played games and ate snacks. We lost Calli around 10:00pm. (She is usually up at 5:00 am and does an hour on the treadmill and hour of scripture study before going to work)
But these two were WIRED! They kept wanting to play "one more game" and kept us completely entertained until 1:00 in morning. We finally got them to bed around 2:00am...Christmas with teenagers!:)
Christmas Morning 2018!
They were nice enough to let us sleep in until 9:00am. Calli and Gentry waiting for Sadie. They were teasing that this is what it was going to be like when Sadie was married and these two are 30 and still living at home and lining up on the stairs for Christmas Morning. Haha!
The annual line-up on the stairs, oldest to youngest!
They always head to their stockings first.
The first present they opened was a big box sitting right in front. As they opened the box Balloons floated out. Sadie yelled "Mom's Pregnant" haha!
There was a Mickey Balloon and 2 other balloons with writing on them that said "We are going to Disneyland in 37 days. 1/31/19
Hugs for everyone...They were so excited.
Sadie trying out her new neck pillow for HOPEFULLY, our trip back to Spain! Her and Gentry also got passports.
Calli opening her custom made Spain quilt. Like usual I didn't take very many pictures including their "piles" Some of their favorites were: Calli - Hydroflask, Wireless Headphones, Massage, Spotify gift card, shoes and Spain necklace. Sadie - Ukulele, Wireless Headphones, Shoes, Clothes, BYU baseball shirt, face scrubber and Levi jacket. Gentry - Ukulele, clothes, Coat, Watch, Touchless hair remover and Cardigans. Adam - Portable Fire Pit. Robyn - Cricut Explore air. Family - Disneyland Trip, DVD's and Corn hole game.
Two of my favorite memories from the day was looking outside and seeing Calli and Sadie sitting and chatting in the swing. And then seeing Bo sitting downstairs playing her Ukulele. Love moments like this!
We had a big yummy Christmas Breakfast and then just lounged around the rest of the day. At 3:00pm we wandered down to Lyman and Marilee's for lunch. Adam and I went ahead of the girls because they were still getting ready. While there Gentry texted us and said "Gus Gus had died" (her hamster) We went home and helped her bury him and had a little Christmas funeral. It was so sad. She was heartbroken.
At 6:00pm we headed to the theater and watched the new Mary Poppins. It was very cute
After the movie we stopped by Terry and Sheri's and headed home. What a lovely day we all had. So blessed!! Merry Christmas!! Only 364 days until Christmas again!
