Marshmallow Roasting & Scripture Study!

Adam got a fire pit for his birthday, so last night we tried it out.

After roasting marshmallows we sat out by the warm flames and read scriptures. It was so much fun except we all had to come in and bathe after because we smelled like smoke.

In honor of my Honey here are 34 reason's why I love Adam on his 34th Birthday!

1. He loves me.

2. He loves his girls and loves being a dad.

3. His family is the most important thing to him.

4. He is the smartest person I know. He knows everything about everything.

3. He is a hard worker and is willing to work long hours to provide for the family and allow me to stay home.

8. He is good at everything he tries even the first time. (except for singing he's tone deaf but he keeps singing anyway)

13. He's a great communicator. We talk about everything.

14. I love our 2 in the morning three hour long talks.

15. He makes me laugh.

17. He appreciates all I do. He always makes sure to tell my that the house looks great when he comes home from work.

18. He kisses me EVERY morning before going to work.

19. He can still give me butterflies when he kisses me.

20. He flirts with me from across the room.

21. He calls and texts me throughout the day.

23. We have several inside jokes that only we get.

24. He honors his priesthood.

25. He is a great Sunday School teacher and his class loves him (& his candy)

26. He makes sure we have family scripture study and prayers every night.

27. He loves to be annoying during family home evening.

28. He loves to travel.

29. He lets me go to Disneyland as much as I like. Even though we want the girls to experience other vacations too.

30. He has a great relationship with mine and his family.

31. He takes his girls out on one on one dates.

32. He is HOT! (Tall, dark and handsome)

33. He loves to have fun.

34. He looks like such a rough and tough guy, but is actually really sweet.

35. I know as long as I have him everything else will be okay.

36. He'd do anything for me.

37. He loves when I can go out with friends.

38. He says "I Love You" about 100 times a day.

39. He kept fighting for us while we were dating when it seemed the world was against us.

40. That he takes two showers a day.

41. He is my partner in crime and raising our family.

44. He is not a follower. He's not afraid to be himself and have his own views.

45. He helps with the laundry, dishes, cooking, bathrooms etc.

Okay, so that was a little more than 34 but oh well he deserves it. He is the best.

Our Red Mountain Adventure!

We had been promising Calli since she could walk that we would take her to the top of the Red Mountain...it only took us 10 years to keep our promise. Saturday we took all the girls to the TOP of the Red Mountain. What an adventure. We had so much fun. Adam was raised climbing the red mountain and knew all the trails and the easiest spots to climb. It took us 5 hours to go up and back. The girls did great. Calli was our fearless leader, she lead the pack with Adam instructing her which way to go and kept her eye out for snakes. Adam and I kept Sadie and Gentry between us. Sadie was our informer, always letting us know if there were loose rocks ahead, or how much further we had to go. Gentry was our little Spider Monkey. She scaled that mountain, practically running at times. Her favorite part was yelling "heads up" when she knocked a rock loose. It was a pretty good hike but hard at times where it took both Adam and I to get the girls past some intense parts but it was so worth it. I was actually calmer than I thought I'd be except for when Adam took the girls to look down the crack while on top. I had a little freak moment. Being on top was awesome! We felt like we had conquered the world. Taking a break on the first ledge.

Playing around on top. This tree is growing out of the rock and has been there forever. Adam used to camp by this tree when he was younger.

Playing in the sand dunes before heading back down. On our way down Calli and Sadie found 3 horney toads, I haven't seen horney toads since I was kid. We had a great time and were so proud of ourselves for making it to the top...though I don't think any of us will be doing it again for a while.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

The night before as I was tucking the girls in I said "I hope the Leprechaun doesn't bite your toes tonight." They just giggled but when I went in a few minutes later to check on them again, they had all got up and changed into green pajamas. They were hoping that by wearing green that mischievous leprechaun wouldn't come to our house.

But when they woke up the next morning, they discovered that he had still come. He didn't end up biting their toes but he left green Leprechaun kisses all over their faces.

Kassi (cousin that had a sleepover) Gentry, Sadie and Calli enjoying their green pancakes, eggs and orange juice. Notice all their green pajamas. I was asking Sadie how she was going to get out of her green pajamas and into her green clothes fast enough so that she wouldn't get pinched and she simply replied by lifting up her pajamas to show me she was wearing green underwear as well.
