Happy 15th Anniversary!

Adam & Robyn Together Forever April 22, 1995

                                                                 "You're Still The One"
(When I first saw you, I saw love.
And the first time you touched me, I felt love.
And afterall this time, you're still the one I love.)
Looks like we made it
Look how far we've come my baby
We mighta took the long way
We knew we'd get there someday
They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong
(You're still the one)
You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one)
You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night
Ain't nothin' better
We beat the odds together
I'm glad we didn't listen
Look at what we would be missin'
They said, "I bet they'll never make it"
But just look at us holding on
We're still together still going strong
(You're still the one)
You're still the one I run to
The one that I belong to
You're still the one I want for life
(You're still the one)
You're still the one that I love
The only one I dream of
You're still the one I kiss good night

My Gorgeous Girls!

Spring 2010

Calli 12 years old

Sadie 9 years old

 Gentry 6 years old

Wizard of Oz!

Calli and Sadie were once again involved with the Ivins City Theater Company. This time they did the play Wizard of Oz. Calli played the Wizards Guard, a munchkin, a tumbling monkey and a member of Oz. Sadie was a Munchkin, a member of Oz and an inch Worm. (They added the song "Jitterbug" and had all different kinds of bugs and insects come out...it was soo cute!)
Here's Calli as they guard. She had quite a few lines in this scene and remembered them all. (Sadie is to the right in black with a big green bow.)
The next couple pictures are blurry because they were moving.
This is Calli as a tumbling monkey doing backbend flips, across the stage.  Each time at rehersal when she did her flips she was able to do them with no problem, but at home when she'd practice she had a hard time flipping, so she was pretty nervous about wheather she could do it for the performance but...she nailed it both nights. We were so proud of her.
Here's sadie as a member of oz, singing Ding dong the witch is dead.
And here is Sadie as an inchworm riding on her belly across the stage on her skateboard.
They sure love doing these plays, and Theresa (their teacher) is fantastic, and is so good with them. They love trying new things and conquering their fears. Awesome Job girls!!

Field Day + 2

This year we had 2 field days to go to and they just happened to be back to back. Sadie had her's on Wednesday and Calli's was on Thursday. Luckily the days were nice this year and I was actually able to get a little bit of sun.
Well, as always Sadie surprised us again. She likes to keep her talents and ablilites under her hat and then...Ta Da! The morning of Field Day she wasn't too sure about going because she said "she doesn't like to run." Which is true; she didn't want to play soccer this year because it's alway's way to much running, but what's funny is when she did play soccer she didn't run...she fluttered around the field like a butterfly.  So I thought I was coming to be supportive and watch Sadie "flutter" down the track...holy cow, can that girl actually run...who knew.  She ran the 50 and the 100 and made it into the finals in the 100, but then her victory stopped there...but who cares I was so darn proud of her, first for just getting out there and running and second for giving it her all and making it into the finals. Way to go Sadie...you just keep surprising us.
Calli on the other hand Loves Field Day and was all pumped up. The night before the big day she got on the treadmill and ran to "Train"...so cute!   Each year she has ran she has made it to District...but this year she's in the 6th grade and  playing with the big dogs now!  She ran the 1600...yes, the mile and 4 times around the track and the 800.  I about had a heart attack just watching her, I was exhausted. She did great and ran the entire way.  She came in 6th out of 9th on both races.  She was a little upset, but I was tickled pink with her guts and determination. Don't tell Calli, but I was also a little glad not to have to go to district again this year.  Way to go Girls, I'm so proud of you and all your accomplishments!

Tuacahn or Bust!

This was our first year having someone in choir and getting to go to the Tuacahn Choir Performance.
There were about 10 other elementary schools there. It was so neat watching these kids sing patriotic songs together. They did a great job!
Sadie singing with the Red Mountain Elementary Choir!
Sadie and her cousin Jaicelyn who sang with the Coral Cliffs Choir managed to find each other in the sea of kids.  What a fun night! Good job Sadie Jae!!

Playing Catch-up!

Life has been so crazy lately that I have slacked on my blogging. So here for you now are 7 new posts for your viewing pleasure! ENJOY!!!!

Hoppy Easter!

Wow! This Easter just snuck up on me. I was such a slacker and hadn't done anything to prepare so Adam and I had to get really creative to pull things together at the last minute.
Friday, we decorated our eggs...
soo cute.
We then went out to dinner and  took the girls to the store where we just followed them around to see what they paid attention too. That night we came home and called the Easter Bunny just in time to tell him what the girls wanted. What started out as a "Crap, what are we going to do for Easter" ended in one the funnest and busiest Easters ever...
1st -Saturday morning was the big Ivins City easter egg hunt. We had decided not to go this year because it was right during General Conference, but then we reliezed that Sadie had to be to that same park at the exact same time for Tennis, so we set our TiVo and we went to the Ivins Hunt (Hunt #1) After the hunt we decided to go and check out the Arts Festival. After the Art's Festival we ran to the store where we did strategic shopping with Adam keeping the girls busy while I grabbed some last minute Easter Ideas.  After shopping we headed to the park with my family where my mom had her annual Feast and Easter egg hunt. (Hunt#2)
The kids hunting for their goodies!
All the cousins going through their loot!
Grandma and Grandpa always spoil them..they got tickets to Tarzan at Tuacahn, $10.00, bubbles, Windmills and lots of candy. The adults always get spoiled too, we had an Easter egg hunt of our own...woo hoo!
Sunday morning, before Conference we got the girls up to see if the Easter Bunny had found them. They were very excited with another hunt (hunt #3) and more loot.
Calli got the new "How to Train your Dragon" DS game.
Sadie got some puppies in your pocket.
And Gentry got a My Little Pony bath toy.
They also each got a new bike helmet, flipflops, bubbles and The princess and the frog movie.
The Easter Bunny even brought Adam and I some stuff.  I got New Moon and some flip flops and Adam got new seat covers for his truck.
After the hunt we watched Conference while Adam made a very huge, yummy breakfast.
After both sessions of Conference we had Hunt #4 with Adam's family. Adam's dad and Marilee invited "His and Her's" families to celebrate together. This was the first time we have gotten together for a Holiday. It was fun getting to know each other better.  After we all ate we had 2 more Easter egg hunts. Again, one for the kids and then one for the adults. I am feeling pretty spoiled and completly blessed this Easter. (Maybe I'll procrastinate again next year..it all seemed to work out great!)
Hope everyone had a very Hoppy Easter!

World's most spoiled dog!

The day my girls have been waiting for has finally arrived...
Troy's 1st Birthday/ 7th in dog years
They have been so excited and have planned and planned for this day to come, so they could throw him a Dog Party!
Complete with decorations on his dog house.
And what's a party without games...
Cake
(they had two seperate cakes; one for the humans and one for Troy)
And of course presents.
The girls had been shopping and saving his presents for months. This really is the most spoiled dog in the World. It was really quite cute watching them get everything ready all by themselves and to be sooo excited.
Happy Birthday Troy!

Way to Go Sadie!

For those of you who read my past post about Sadie...what's more to say you will know what a HUGE
accomplishment this is....

Sadie got her ears pierced.
Way to go babe! I'm so proud of you for being  brave enough to do something that you wanted so bad but were so scared to do...you did it!

P Night!

With the church now giving the mom's of the Young Women the opportunity to do Personal Progress we decided to have a BIG P-Night with all the young women and their mom's.  It's always a little nerve-racking to involve the parents in activities but it turned out great and we had so much fun!
We had "Value Fruit Pizza's" for refreshments. This is the before picture, I forgot to get a picture of the after. But we had the crust and sauce pre-made and then had bowls of cut up fruit labled with each of the 8 values, (Strawberries-Individual Worth, Kiwi-Knowledge etc) for them to create their own.
We also had bottled water with Value labels on then that said "Quench your thirst, dive into personal progress"
The best part, was we had everyone come in as many P's as they could think of. We had some pretty creative ideas.
The person who came wearing the most P's got a $5.oo gift card to Pizza/Pasta Factory. The winner had worn like 30 different P things...it was great.  I loved seeing the mom's coming in their pajamas with pig tails...so fun!
We played a couple of different games all about values and personal progress. One game even helped pass off a goal.
Sixlets divided up into the eight value colors for our "would you rather game" This is where they had to answer questions about which goal they would rather do. Then the color they had the least of in the end is the value we encouraged them to pick a goal from to pass off during the week.
We also did our usual interviews with the girls to see where they are at with their personal progress and invited the mom's to sit in on the interviews. During the interviews the mom's and daughters gave each other pedicures and visited.  Afterwards we had a awards ceremony where we handed out the ribbons and bookmarks to those girls that had earned one.  Overall, I think it was super fun and we had a good turn out.

Everything she touches turns to gold!

Calli is one of those rare and lucky people where everything she tries she is good at and usually suceeds with flying colors.
This year was her first experience entering in the Science Fair.  We fiqured this would just be fun and a good trial run since we didn't really know what we were doing. Well, when I went to the fair to see her's and the other projects, I was plesantly surprised to see that her's had come in  the top 10 out of 80.  I don't know why I'm even surprised anymore...eveything she touches seems to turn to gold.

You've got Mail!

After sending the girls to bed one night, we kept hearing them playing and giggling. So we finally went to see what was going on. This is what we found...
They had each made everyone in the family a "mailbox" to hang by their rooms and then they were writing each other love notes and delivering them to their boxes. I thought it was the cutest thing ever, so of course I couldn't get mad at them.
Calli's Mailbox
Sadie's
Gentry's
And they even made one for Adam and I. I Love that's it's Mickey Mouse. HeHe. Do they know me or what.  I have really enjoyed these cute little boxes hanging in our home and have loved writing and sneeking love notes into each of their boxes.

Bring on the Sports!

I ♥ Sports! I love watching them, I love playing them and I Love that my girls play them even more.
I get so excited to go and watch each of them play their sports.
Calli warming up for her game. She soooo much fun to watch. She has this natural athletic ability and is really quite good at soccer.  She is very competative and agressive.  If she wants the ball, she will get it.
At Calli's first game she asked me if I would pay her $1 for each goal she made, I said sure...What was I thinking? She's only played three games and I'm already poor.  She's made 7 goals so far, which I love it, my checkbook...not so much! Way to go Calli!
This is Gentry's first year playing!
She signed up on the same team with her bestest little buddy and cousin Hallee
I love this picture...
Gentry sitting on her ball waiting to go in.
So far she is loving it.  She's defiantly not as aggressive as Calli, but even still she's scored a goal in each of the two games she's played so far. It was the cutest thing ever. Way to go Bo!
Sadie is my timid little athlete and wasn't too sure about soccer this year, so she opted for Tennis.
Wow! What a good little tennis player she turned out to be. She is so cute as she swings and hits the ball over the net.  This is definantly more her speed.  Her coach is awesome and she is loving having a sport all to herself.  Great job Sadie!
NEXT...Baseball Season - Woo Hoo!
