Life's Moments!

I absolutly love pictures that captures life's moments.
I took this picture months ago, but kept forgetting to blog it. Every Tuesday, Gentry would have her Ballet Class and then would need to change and go right to Soccer.
I just love and adore this picture as she goes from Ballerina to Athlete.

Summer Fun!

During the summer, my kids can be found in Grandpa's pool day AND Night.
The three girls taking a late night dip!
(It was about 10:30 pm. and perfect weather)

Tuacahn!

Each year my mom and dad take the grandkids (that live here) to the opening night production of one of the  Tuacahn play's. This year was Tarzan.
One of their favorite tradition is staying after to get pictures and autographs.
Here they are with Tarzan, Jane, and little Tarzan.  Gentry went too, but the apes really scared her, so she sat cuddled up on Grandpa's lap while the others got pictures.
Here they are with the Apes. Sadie was wearing Jane's dad's hat that he plopped on her head for the picture.
And here they are with Turk. Gentry actually really like Turk, but still wouldn't come near the others.
Adam and I love this tradition as well, because we get a date night. We went to dinner and a movie and then met up with them at tuachan for pictures and autographs.  We all got home after midnight, but it is always so worth it. The kids have a ball.

Trek and Maddie's Baptism!

Our ward got the opportunity to go on Trek with the 1st and 10th wards for Youth Conference this year.
The YW that went from our ward.
Hanna Hicks, Rylee Jeppson, Hailey Johansen, Geralynne Decker, Niquelle Craig and her friend Nicole,
Jaycee Jolley, McKenzie Jolley, Sharly Anderson and Brittnee White.
I got to drive some of the Ma's and Pa's to the starting line in New Harmony.
It was so cool. I could already feel the spirit that was with them.  I hope that someday I can have the experience of Trek. I think it is such an amazing opportunity for these youth.
The Saturday that they came in they had all the leaders and their families at the finsih line waving them in and then a big BBQ. I wasn't able to be there because we were heading to Payson for my niece Maddie's baptism.  We went to baptism, where Maddie had asked me to give the talk on the Holy Ghost. Then we went to Kevin and Jens for lunch and hung out and visited for quite a while. Then we drove to the Provo cemetary to see my Grandpa Kendall's grave. We spent about hour here just walking around and seeing the interesting headstones. We even found Dan Jones headstone (one of Joseph Smith's body guards) and Porter Rockwell's wife.  Then we went to visit my cousin Russell in Springville and to show the girls where Charly was filmed. My cousin is a producer for LDS films. He has also been in quite a few, he played Brigham Young in the Joseph Smith and Emma Smith story. He also helped with and was in the Movie Charly. The movie was filmed in his home. So we took the grandkids on a tour and showed then all the places that were used in the movie, they thought that was really cool.
We had decided to just drive up and back so that I could be back for Sacrament meeting to hear the youths testimony's.  The girls were a little disappointed that all their cousins got to stay and we were leaving but we told them we'd take them to Pine Valley after sacrament with some other cousins. They were happy with that.

Pine Valley!

We love Pine Valley, mostly for camping but we enjoy a nice, cool, relaxing picnic too. As soon as we were out of church we packed up and headed out. It's such a fun place to just let the kids play while the adults sit and visit.
Gentry and Bailey going for a "hike" around the picnic area.
Amber brought some art supplies and the kids had a great time painting pictures...
and then each other's faces!
They also rerouted the stream and made a smaller stream with waterfalls.
We played games, ate, visited, went on a nature hike and listened to Eric play his guitar. It was the perfect day.

Spash Pad Fun!

It wouldn't be summer without a trip to the Main Street Splash Pad with cousins!
Sadie and Kassi loved running around and squirting each other,
and hanging out in the water fall.
Gentry taking a break to eat her lunch. I love this picture she looks like such a little lady...Eating her sandwich with her legs crossed while basking in the sun.
After spending 4 hours at the Splash Pad we took them all to Del Taco and then out to Calli's double header Baseball game. Needless to say they slept very well that night.

Date Night and Father's Day!

I love having one on one dates with my kids...(and hubby) This time is was Sadie's turn. Her cousin Kassi had a dance recital that we had bought tickets to, so we made it into a all day date.  We started out our adventures just running a couple errands where Sadie took full advantage of having mom and her checkbook all to herself.  She got a CTR necklace at Deseret Book, a treat at Walmart, and a toy at the Dollar store.  We then had lunch at Subway and then went to the recital. On the way home we got snow cones and picked up Pizza for the hungry bunch that had also had a full fun day...
While Sadie and I were gone all day, Adam got an early Father's Day present (fishing licence) and took the other two girls out to Gunlock for the day. They were in heaven.
They fished...
played in Grandpa's new boat...
and went swimming.
The next day for Father's Day we got to spoil Adam, which doesn't happen often enough.  We made him breakfast and then gave him our gifts. He got the new Porter Rockwell book, new scriptures and a BBQ grill basket.  After church we made him dinner. (I can't even remember the last time I have made dinner on a Sunday) He was able to just relax the day away and even got a nap in.  Then we spent the evening visiting his dad and mine. It was a great and relaxing day. Happy Father's Day Adam, we sure do love you!

The rest of May!

I really should learn how to sit down and blog after each event one at a time so I don't have to play catch -up and blog a dozen blogs at once.  But until I learn how to do that here is "The rest of May" and 8 new blogs!

Trek Prep!

To get the Young Women excited about their upcoming Pioneer Trek for Youth Conference we thought we'd kill two birds with one stone...1) teach them how to sew and 2) make their own aprons and bonnets.
This was one of my favorite activites.  We had a good friend and her mom come and teach us. The girls did great they just dove right in.
They each went home with a bonnet and apron!

Gentry's Dance Recital!

Gentry had her Dance Recital with Premier Dance Center.
I have really been impressed with Premier Dance so far and Sadie can't wait to sign up for the next school year.  Calli even mentioned she'd like to sign up....for Hip Hop of course.
Gentry was on stage four different times. She did 2 dances (Fireflys was my favorite, they came out in the dark with blinking ring pop's and made their "flieflies" flies as the lights came up) then came out and showed us the positions of ballet and then the finale and bows.  It was so cute!
Gentry with her cousin Jantzyn,
and her other cousins that are also at Premier, Jorrin and Jaicelyn.

Sadie's Field Trips!

To celebrate the last week of school, Sadie had two different field Trips that I was able to go and help out  with.
The first one was a trip to the Sand Hollow pool.
Sadie and her best buddy Sandy.
A couple days later, they went to the Ivins Park for lunch and games.
It was a relaxing fun Day!

Grad Night!

  Gentry's Kindergarten Graduation!
Gentry was so excited for her graduation. She can't wait to be in the 1st grade and eat lunch at the school. Her program was really cute. They sang songs about everything they learned this year.
Gentry and her Kindergarten Diploma.
And enjoying her Chocolate rose that Grandma brings each of the grandkids everytime they have a performance.

That same day we had another graduation.  My oldest Nephew Tyson graduated from Pine View High school.  I can't beleive I have a nephew old enough to graduate high school.
The whole family came out to support him. It was fun to be back at a Pine View Graduation. I don't think I've been to one since I graduated from there.  It was fun to see him walk through the same PV and hear the same fight song and cheer.  I also recongnized some of the same teachers that were there when I was.

Gentry getting ready to make noise when Ty walks though. I wish I had gotten a picture of Tyson.  We were all wondering how we were going to find him in the sea of graduates as they walk down and take their seats, but we soon realized it wasn't going to be difficult. He was wearing a bright green blinking sash over his robe and as we walked through the PV he did his "sexy dance"... I was so proud. Way to go Gentry and Tyson

Last Day of School!

School is finally out...time to celebrate!
The last day of school got out early, so I picked up the girls and we met Adam at Iggy's for Lunch.  (Adam and I have been doing lunch dates once a week and have come to really like this place, so we thought we'd introduce the girls to a new place) We also got them little autograph graduate dogs from the dollar store that we passed around the table and signed while waiting for our food. (I'm so glad that my girls are still young enough to get excited over dollar store stuff.)  Happy Summer Girls!

Summer is Here!

Summer is here...how do I know?
Because the girls are back in Grandpa's pool again for a Summer of Swimming!

After a fun swim in the pool, the girls with some friends thought they needed to get warm in the tub.
Calli, Sadie, Ashley Bang, Gentry, and Hallee Larsen

Redecorating!

Ever since we took down the nursery and gave Sadie her own room, she has been wanting to decorate it, but we could never decide what theme to decorate it with...until, about a month ago when we took down the "Disney" playroom and turned it into Adam's Weight Room

She decided she wanted a Disney room.  We had everything we needed except a comforter. We looked and looked and could never find what were looking for, so I finally broke down and made one.  We found a piece of red quilted material that would work great.
Sadie helping with the "straight parts" of binding the edges.
Then we drew on Mickey heads with chalk and stitched around each one and made a matching Mickey pillow. It turned out so cute!
The finished product. She was so excited.  She loves it and I love how cheap it was and how much it   brightened up her room.

Memorial Day Fun!

Sunday, we drove up to Enterprise to visit Adam's mom's grave and then to his brothers for a BBQ and game night.
Monday, we had a Fun Family Day!
Adam had been wanting to take the girls out shooting for a while and since he had the day off and knew town would be crazy we thought this was a great opportunity.

We grabbed some Subways for lunch and drove out to Utah Hill.  We had a picnic lunch and then Adam entered his paradise by shooting his guns and teaching the girls.  My girls are kinda weird this way and actually love stuff like this.

Adam helping Gentry shoot the "big gun"
(Adam has tried to teach me the names of all the different types of guns but I can never remember them)

Sadie's turn.

Calli was the only one of the girls to shoot this one. It has quite a kick and would throw her back but she loved it. It was pretty funny to watch.

Yep, I even got in on the action.
Adam shooting off a few rounds with the "little black gun."
Gentry didn't like the sound of the big gun and hid under the blanket...
...until we discovered that we could put her in the car listening to music on my I-pod. Then she was as happy as can be.  It was a fun family outing.  I have always been so scared to own guns and it has taken Adam 13 years to convince me.  At first I didn't even want the girls to know we had them, but Adam again helped me understand that guns can be safe and fun if we teach the girls the safety of them first.  He was right again. The girls loved it and he was very careful to make it a fun and safe outing.

After spending a few hours shooting we went to Adam's dad's house for a Memorial day swim and BBQ.
Adam behind the grill as usual.
All the grandkids cooling off in the pool.

Rub a dub dub, Raiden in the tub.
The bigs kids playing with Raiden in the pool, in a bucket. It was so funny.

The Simease Twins, Gentry and Halle drying off.
These two have become inseperatable. They are with each other day in and day out.
