Seven Peaks!

June 22-23, 2013
My brothers, sister and I all got together and puchased Annual Seven Peaks passes and gave them to our kids for Easter. After months of waiting, summer finally came and we all took a weekend to use them together.
We saw this sign about a year ago and laugh about it each time we drive through Beaver. This time I snapped a picture of it...who knew, Beaver has the #1 water in America.
Seven Peaks in Provo right at the base of "Y" Mountain.
Some of the cousins.

THE WAVE POOL!
Gentry and Jantzyn
Maddie, Sadie and Jaicelyn
Calli, Ashlynn and Jorrin
The kids had sooo much fun. This is the first time they have been to a water park and they loved it. I think being with cousins makes it that much more fun. Anytime I can do something new with my kids or introduce them to something they've never tried before I jump at the opportunity..
Half -way through the day we stopped for lunch and a rest. It was just enough to give everyone their second wind.
Kassi, Maddie, Sadie and Jaicelyn heading off to their next ride.
Gentry found some slides in the kiddie area that were just her size.
Jantzyn, Trasen and Gentry. These three LOVED the wave pool. They spent 80% of their time here. They would stay here for about an hour, go on a slide and then come back. They were like little fish. Adam and I went on a few of the big slides that we wanted to try and then were content just hanging out and watching the girls. (Boomerang, Vortez, Free Fall, The Cave and Sky Breaker were among our favorites.) Calli took off with the "older cousins" and hit just about everything in the park 2-3 times. Every once in a while we'd bump into them and hit a few rides with them and then they'd take off again.

Gentry traveling home in comfort.
After spending about 9 straight hours in the park we all headed to dinner completely exhausted. We spent the night and then headed home early Sunday morning. It was a quick trip but we had a blast. My kids are already asking when we can go back.

Cheetah Club!

Calli has been doing conditioning with the soccer team each morning getting ready for tryouts, in addition she decided to also do an acceleration program. It's a 20 session athletes performance program through IHC that she does three days a week. They work on skills, running, balance, agility etc. They have a cheetah club where participants can earn a spot in the club by running 17 miles per hour for 6 seconds on a treadmill.
Meet the newest member of the club.
I am so impressed with Calli's continued determination and hard work. She (and the rest of the soccer girls) willingly give up ALOT of their summer all for the love of soccer.
Way to Go Calli...Super Job!

Gunlock Fun!

This summer we've been trying to do something fun as a family each weekend. This time we went to Gunlock.  This is such a fun and cheap place to go and cool off from the summer heat.
Having fun in grandpas paddle boat.
Sadie dancing and practicng her balancing moves while Adam paddles and drags Calli, Gentry and the log they found back to shore with them.
The girls taking it for a spin.

Adam enjoyed some snorkeling.
Calli, Sadie and Gentry entertaining themselves on the beach.
Adam and I taking a break.

The girls playing on their log they loving named Pablo. They played on this thing for about an hour; floating out into the water and then paddeling it back in and falling off it every couple minutes as it rolled. It was pretty entertaining to watch.
Love nice and relaxing family days like these.

Red Cliffs Hike

I did this hike a few years ago with the young women and had been wanting to take my family back ever since. We finally did on Saturday June 8, 2013.

The "Elephant Tree"

Gentry exploring a cave.

At one point there's a place you climb up these cute steps and then use a rope to swing yourself around the rock.
There are so many fun slides along the way. They are super slippery trying to get up them but super fun coming back down, Gentry loved them.

Stopping in a canyon with shade for lunch.

We hiked a little bit further and finally found some water. There wasn't as much as we thought but the girls still managed to have fun and find a bunch of tadpoles.

Time to cool off. The girls loved these slides into the water. Calli tried it first to see how deep it was. She went all the way under and still couldn't find the bottom.  Sadie agreed to go as long as Calli hung out at the bottom to catch her.  She loved it.
Gentry's turn. Again, Calli is at the bottom ready to catch her.
I am always so impressed with my girls and their guts. They love to try new things and will usually try some thing at least once. They seriously are some of the coolest people I know...they rock!

Cooling off before hiking back out.
It was such a hot day that we thought the girls would be miserable but they are such troopers. They loved the canyons, the slides, the caves, the water and the whole hike. I think we'll come back and do this one again.

Mary Poppins!

 June 1, 2013
Each year my mom and dad take all their grand kids to see the newest Disney production at Tuacahn opening night, ...but this year my mom and dad decided to surprise the parents as well. We had such a fun night out with our girls, my parents and my brothers family.
Sadie, Jantzyn and Gentry

Grandma and Grandpa
It was fantastic. Tuacahn never disappoints. Year after year they keep coming up with new things.
And as always the grand kids have to stay after and get pictures with the cast.

Some of the cousins with the maid, bird lady, and the butler.
The Banks Family
These guys were awesome. The dad was incredible and the two kids that played Jane and Micheal were so stinking cute...and good!
And of course, Burt and Mary Poppins!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for another fun night at Tuacahn.

Calli & Youth Conference

Calli went on her first Youth Conference May 29-31, 2013 (last year she was sick and unable to go)
It was a stake youth conference this year and they all went to Park City.
Calli hanging out in the lodge.
"The Tattooed Mormon": Ali Fox.
Calli loved this fireside she said her story and conversion were awesome.

They also went ice skating. She had such a ball. She absolutely loved every minute of it.
