Weekend Getaway!

BYU GAME
Friday, September 23rd Adam and I got up and got the girls off to school. (It was so nice having him around to help.) Then we headed out the door to his Dr. Appt. at 10:00.  He has been having some more complications with his heart (blurps and tingling in his face, hands and feet) we just wanted to get everything checked out before we went. This last month has been really scary and exhausting. We have spent several nights just sitting up all night talking because he couldn't sleep.  He saw Dr. Brizalaro and will go back in a week and see Jentzer.  The appt. went well and he was put on some meds that should help.  (they ended up really helping, he had a great weekend, without any complications and slept every night) Yeah!
After his appointment we went to lunch and then checked the girls out of school and got on the road. The BYU game was at 6:00 that night.  We got there with an hour to spare.

The girls modeling their BYU attire.

All ready for the big game.
Walking to the stadium.
There really isn't anything that compares to being to a live game vs watching it on TV.  It's so much fun being in the crowd and cheering.

Waiting for the game to start.

Calli, Sadie, and cousins Ashlyn and Maddie showing the crowd they got moves...it must have worked because they WON, it was a great game.

Proof that Adam and I were there.

LAGOON
The next morning we headed to Lagoon.
It was during Frightmares.

The Log Ride.

Rattlesnake rapids.

Gentry not happy that she got soaked or that I ditched her and ran to the other side of the boat when I saw the big waterfall coming...don't worry it didn't work I still got soaked.

Calli and Sadie still happy after getting wet.

Calli and Sadie on the dragon roller coaster.

The "nice witches"

Calli and Sadie on the Spider.

Dad and Gentry on the back side of the spider.
We had a great time. It had been a few years since we were there and they had quite a few new rides, which of course we had to try them all. We stayed until about 8 that night, stopped by Applebees for a bite and then went swimming at the hotel.

COVE FORT
The next morning on our drive home we stopped at Cove Fort and took the entire tour  and  watched the movie. It was great, I just love stuff like that. The girls loved it and Adam and I learned some things  we never knew before. All in all it was fantastic and MUCH needed vacation.

Sadie's Birthday!

Happy 11th Birthday Sadie!
Sadie's birthday was on a Wednesday this year, which meant she had to go to school and dance on her birthday.  I surprised her at school by checking her out for lunch and eating Panda express on the lawn and taking donuts to her class to hand out.
After school she went right to dance.  After dance we picked her up and the family went out to dinner at her choice of resturant.  She chose Chuck-a-Rama. After dinner we came home for a ice cream cake and opening presents.
She was more than happy to get a life-size Justin Bieber cut-out. Actually this was a two-fold gift. I needed one for Calli and Sadie's Justin Bieber Birthday Party they are having together in October anyway, so it was nuce that she asked for one.

Sadie modeling the "purple" (Biebers fav. color) hat that Calli got her.

She also got a purple camera/camcorder, and a pink rug, pillow and mirror for her room.
After we opened presents the girls had a ball playing with Sadie's new camera, hanging out and taking pictures with the Biebs.

Oh Brother.  Ha ha!

Gentry's Baptism pictures!

Adam and I took Gentry to the temple after church and took some pictures for her baptism invites. These were just a few of my favorites out of about forty taken.

She was so cute and completely willing to do whatever pose we asked her to do. We had a lot of fun!

Round-up Parade

Calli and Sadie were both in the Round-up parade this year.
Calli playing the drum with Snow Canyon Middle School.
They ended up getting 1st place out of the middle schools.

Sadie was with her dance team "Embrace" with Premier Dance Company.
Sadie, Kassi, and Kennedy.
Sadie and Kassi after the parade.
At one time during the parade some creepy and scary characters came by advertising their haunted house. Gentry was immediately off my lap and behind the chairs.  She does not not like anything scary.

Stinking 12 new posts!

With school starting, family reunions, preschool and just life in general, I got way behind on my blogging.  Hopefully these next 12 posts will catch me up...for now!

9-11

Each year at Red Mountain to remember 9-11 the American Legion comes and raises the flag and shoots off their guns.

After which the entire school marches up and down the street in their own parade.

Here they come.

Our awesome principal Betty Barnum.

Gentry - 2nd grade

Sadie - 4th grade!
It's such a great way to take a moment and to remember.

I finally did it!

On Tuesday, Sept. 6th I had my Preschool Open House. It was so much fun and it just got me so excited about the school year. I have 14 kids and they are all so adorable.  It's crazy to think about the journey it took to get me here.  Many times during the last few months as we would continue down this path, I would get so nervous and think "Maybe I don't want to do this."  It's hard to give up my free time and also I have social anxiety when it comes to talking to big people...little people I'm fine but big people scare me.  So I would get so nervous when I thought about having to talk to the parents.  But every time I would start feeling like backing out a calming feeling would come over me and I would remember that this was a dream of mine and that I could do it. I have gotten alot of strength from my patriarchal blessing as well. Several times it talks about the teacher I will be and the influence I will have with the young people.  At first I thought it meant primary because that's all I had ever served in, then my eyes were opened a little more when I was called to Young Women's. Now that I'm getting ready to teach for a living I realized it encompassed all of it.  I love that my Heavenly Father knows me better than I know myself and if He says I'm supposed to teach then that's all the strength I need to do it.  I'm so happy that the Open House went better then I expected because now the nerves are completely gone and I just can't wait to get the party started.
This is my cute vinyl on the back of my car. But now that preschool is in session, it's coming off!

Losee Reunion!

The best word to describe the Delta Losee Reunion is "Tradition." We do the same thing every year and the pictures from year to year all look about the same only every one's a year older.  We go to the park for lunch, pinatas, games, visiting, the auction and the talents show. (For the talent show this year Calli, Sadie, Kassi and Ashlyn got up there in all their matching Justin Bieber shirts and said "Our talent is that we are Justin Bieber experts, we know everything there is to know, does anybody want to ask us any questions?" Several hands flew up.  They stood up there for about 5 minutes straight just answering every ones JB questions. It was very cute.) Then we head to the motel for swimming, then to the hard pan for hot dogs, sloppy Joe's, homemade root beer, smores, listening to the BYU game and our marshmallow fight. Then we head back to the motel for showers and hang out on the motel grass.  The next morning we head to my grandpas for more visiting and lunch. Then as we head out to come home we all stop at 7-11 for Slurpee's.  This year we stepped a little outside the box.  Instead of driving up Saturday morning just in time for the park, my whole family went up Friday and had a pizza pool party at the motel. The next day the game was early enough that we watched it at the motel before going to the hard pan, and the next morning we did breakfast at grandpas instead of lunch.  Year after year we continue to have a great time. It's always fun to see my grandpa and all my cousins.
