Punky Brewster!

These two are two peas in a pod.
On top of being in the same class together, playing with each other every day, eating dinner at one or the others houses, and insisting on doing their homework together...now, they want to dress like each other.
As they were planning the next day's outfit one night they realized that they would have to get pretty creative to find items that they both had. The result was this...
Aren't our little "Punky Brewsters" so cute!

Soccer Post

Coach PK keeps the Snow Canyon girls soccer blog updated after each Varsity game. Calli just started playing Varsity this year so this was the first time she has been mentioned.

Snow Canyon vs Pine View 1-0
An excellent defensive effort for the Warriors as they only allow  5 shots of which only 3 were on frame. Defensively for the Warriors Kyleigh Wittwer, Brooklyn Wood, Callister Peterson, Christee Wilson, Stdney Layton and Katheryn Benson. Grace Walton was in the goal for the shutout. Jenny Stewart scored for the Warriors. Next up for the Warriors, Desert Hills on Tuesday September 17th at 7:30PM.

 Yeah...so fun!

Weekend Va-Ca, BYU Game and Sadie's Birthday!

September 20-22, 2013
Each year my dad gets season tickets to the BYU games and then my brothers and sisters all get together and choose which game(s) we want to go to.  This year we got the coveted BYU/UTAH game. The game fell on Sadie's birthday which we thought she'd fight about going to a football game on her birthday but she loved the idea so we made a weekend celebration out of it.
Adam got off early Friday and we grabbed Calli right from school and headed out. We got to Lehi around 7:30 pm. As we headed to our hotel at Thanksgiving point we noticed an event was going on so we walked over to check it out. They were having a nighttime glow in the dark 5K. We walked around a bit to check it out and walked through some fun gardens.

It was so pretty. Kind of a fun little spontaneous adventure.
Then we headed to the hotel for some swimming.
Adam playing colors with the girls.
While Adam entertained the girls in the pool, I sneaked to the room and decorated it and ordered pizza. Sadie was so surprised when she walked in.
 Pizza Party!
 Opening Presents!
The one thing that Sadie wanted more than anything was a pair of "FunKeys" for dance...she was sooo excited to see that she got the exact pair she was hoping for.
Modeling her FunKey's.
The next morning we woke up bright and early, went down for breakfast and then headed to the mall for some shopping. We arrived to the mall a few minutes before the stores were open so the girls played on the playground for a bit.

Sadie counting for Hide and Seek.
Gentry hanging out in the dressing room with Sadie. She is such a good sport. She's not into clothes shopping yet like Sadie and Calli are, she wants to head straight to the toy stores but she's good to tag along and wait her turn.
 Escalator Fun!
After the mall we met up with Kevin and Stacy and their families at Trafalga.
Sadie changed into one of her new outfits.
She was so excited to spend her birthday with Kassi and Maddie.
We had fun...
doing the climbing wall,

going on rides,
and playing laser tag.
After spending a few hours at Trafalga we went to dinner at Chuck-a-Rama (Sadie's choice)
The waitress's singing to her.
After dinner we headed to Lavell Edwards Stadium.
All decked out in their BYU gear ready for the game.
Sky divers delivering the game ball.
Anxiously waiting for the game to start.
Photo bombed by Austin.
Adam and I.
Notice all the Red behind us...it made for an interesting game. I thought the Aggie fans were bad, but nope, the Utes beat them out by a long shot. They were the most filthy-mouthed, obnoxious and disrespectful fans I've ever come in contact with. I'm all for a little competition and rivalry but these guys took it to a new level. During the prayer they purposefully continued cheering and screaming and then at one point during the game, after a call went our way instead of theirs they all started chanting "Bull S*%t" over and over again.  With our girls sitting there trying to enjoy a good game as a family, it became too much. Adam spoke up and told them what he thought of their un-classy little cheer. It shut them up...for a minute.  Overall, it was fun, they defiantly made it interesting. The competitive person in me would do it again.
Blue vs Red
BYU ended up losing but it was still a good close game.
The final score was 20-13.
The game got over just before midnight. We drove Kassi home and spent the night at Ben and Stacy's. The next morning we slept in and hung out, played and visited until afternoon and then hit the road.

The kids getting creative.
It was a fun little weekend getaway.
Happy Birthday Sadie.  I hope you had a great weekend celebrating. I can't believe you are 13 and that we have another teenager in the house.  We love your guts and are so glad you are in our family. You make us laugh everyday.

Parades!

Parades, parades, parades!
On Wednesday September 11th Gentry was supposed to be in a Red Mountain Elementary parade. They were going to walk to the new veterans care center, sing a couple patriotic songs and walk back to school, but they got rained out.
She looked cute in her red, white and blue anyway.
That same day, the rain held off just long enough for Calli to be in the Homecoming parade with the soccer team.
The girls love this parade because there is always SO much candy thrown.

And on Saturday, September 14th Sadie was in the Round-up parade with her dance team.

So Fun!!

Sunsets!

We have been seeing some incredible sunsets lately.

Most of them have been at soccer games.
This one was so bright that it changed the color of everything around us...it was amazing!
I just love them .

More Soccer!

More soccer pictures...just because I can't get enough!

Picked up Calli from practice one day to find her covered in mud. It had rained all that week and there were puddles everywhere. They were practicing diving for the balls to head them and apparently, usually landed in the puddles.
 Game Night.
Adam and I modeling our 2013-2014 soccer shirts
The back of the shirts have "Peterson" and Calli's #.
Sadie and Gentry each got one too, but they never stick around long enough for a picture. They always find friends and cousins to hang out with at the games.
Sadie practicing her own soccer skills.
Gentry playing under the bleachers and making a rock collection.
Calli heading to the locker room with the Varsity Team.

Warming up on the track while the JV finish up their game.

Warming up on the field in between JV and Varsity games.
Varsity Line-up and Salutes. After she started in a couple games she decided she needed to come up with a salute. She was going to do Jadyn's bow from last year but someone already took it. So we sat around one night laughing and laughing as we came up with awesome salutes she could do, like: the warrior, the lawn mower, the shovel, dance moves, etc. Surprisingly she didn't end up doing any of our ideas, instead she came up with her own ...she steps forward and does a  little hip turn and waves. It's cute!

And just for fun, a couple action shots from the game.
