Moses Tabernacle

I have loved Come Follow Me and learning about the Old Testament this year. So when my mom called and told me that Terrys stake had brought and set up a replica of Moses Tabernacle from Idaho, we knew we wanted to see it. We got in the car and drove to Enterprise where it was set up.
View from a distant.
It did not disappoint. It was amazing!
Plus, when I saw that Jared Gough (Calli’s physical therapist who we adore) was going to be our tour guide, I knew we were in for a treat. Haha!
Walking through the first veil into the outer court towards the temple.

Listening to Our tour guide!
Looking back at the outer curtains
At the alter of sacrifice
The laver for washing and anointing
Looking back from the temple entrance

So cool!

Heading in through the second veil
The holy room
Unleavened bread, wine and salt
Menorah
Incense in front of the the third veil and the entrance to the holiest of holy room.
The roof
The arch of the covenant

Inside the arc was the Ten Commandments, Aaron’s staff and manna
Just us! So glad Gentry cam with us!
The crew!
Grandma and grandpa! It was so amazing. So much information and power between those walls. So glad we got to experience it!

Wedding Venue

We have a wedding venue!!

With just a 2 month engagement, we knew a venue would be difficult to nail down. We had a back up plan at the Scholzen’s (Calli’s boss offered their yard) if all fell through but being in August we wanted an indoor venue. We called a dozen venues and they were already booked. Then Adam called Brio. Adam and Laurette, the event coordinator at Brio have known each other for years and have a good relationship. (I had just been to a wedding that was held at Brio but the mother of the bride worked there, so I wasn’t sure if they rent it or if it was a favor for an employee) We were thrilled when she said she doesn’t rent it out but she would for us. Woo hoo! We took Calli, Levi and Levis mom April to check it out…it was beautiful. It’s an indoor/outdoor venue and was perfect! Another check on the to do list.

August 6th, here we come!

Adam’s Heart

Another scary ER visit for Adam and his heart!

Saturday night around midnight Adam woke up with his heart beating irregularly.  Around 12:30 I woke up and could tell that something was wrong and asked him if he was OK. He asked me if I would listen to his heart and said that his heart was out of whack. We got the stethoscope and the pulse and oxygen reader and it was all over the place it would go from 70 up to 130 and back down to 50. It was different than the tachycardia where it just shoots up to 200 in 30 seconds. It was starting to make him lightheaded and shortness of breath and after watching it and listening to his heart for about 30 minutes I asked if you wanted to go in and while getting dressed he said no I think I’m OK. Haha! I could tell that it was making him nervous and so we told the girls we were going to the ER and got in the car around 1:00am.  The drive there was the most stressful drive of my life. On Snow Canyon Parkway we ended up calling 911 when his heart rate jumped to 150 just to let them know we were coming in and to see what I needed to watch for as we drove in and then on Skyline Drive his oxygen plummeted and that’s when I completely freaked out and turned on my hazards and sped up and went through the remainder of the red lights and just kept saying check in with me, let me know you’re OK, talk to me. We made it to the hospital and I pulled into the valet parking and just left the car there and we both ran in and got him checked in and even though it took just a couple minutes to get him taken back,I was so anxious and getting frustrated that they needed him to sign a couple papers. At one point he was trying to sign his initials on an iPad and was so shaky he couldn’t even do it. We were both really shaken up, so I just started rubbing his back and trying to keep us both calm. A couple minutes later they took us back and they got him all hooked up and put in an IV and got him laying down and gave him an EKG and did a chest x-ray and did some bloodwork and  then they just monitored him while we waited for test results. Once he was settled and just being monitored I went out to move the car and broke down a little bit just because it was such a scary experience and thanked Heavenly Father that it wasn’t worse. The doctor came in once or twice and the nurse was in an out. We just sat and watched numbers on the monitor and it eventually started to level itself out and his blood pressure came down and the machine stopped beeping and he was starting to feel better. (If it didn’t go down on its own they would have had to shock it) Around 5 AM they came in and said that it looked like it was A fib and that once his heart leveled out he was OK to go home with a prescription that just evens out his heart rate and told him to come back in if he had more complications. We drove home and settled in on the couch and the chair and watched TV for a little bit until the sun came up and then we went and climbed in bed and slept till about 10 AM. About this point, his heart rate was good, his oxygen was good so I ran to the pharmacy and got his prescription and he just relaxed and took a lot of naps. Sunday he felt much better. I told him that if this happens again we are calling the ambulance because the first time it happened he went by ambulance and I followed, this time I drove him in and I would much rather have him in their hands than mine. It was terrifying but overall I think we both stayed calm and did pretty good. On Wednesday night about midnight he started to have another episode, his heart rate started to bounce all over but knowing what it was he was able to just stay calm and worked through it and it leveled out within about two hours. The cardiologist called on Monday and said that they had gotten all of the results from the loop recorder and test results from the hospital and wanted to change his prescriptions. He’s now on a beta blocker similar to metoprolol and a blood thinner. A Fib itself, isn’t life-threatening but it can lead to stroke and heart attacks so they wanted him on a blood thinner. On Friday we went in and saw his cardiologist and they confirmed it was A fib and just talked about the diagnosis and what he can do and what I need to watch for.
He has an appointment in July to go see the electrician once he’s had a couple months to see results from the loop recorder then hopefully they’ll suggest either surgery again or defibrillator or pacemaker. It’s been an exhausting week and emotional draining week.   It’s been a scary week but at the same time we know it’s going to be OK and we’ve had some tender mercies too. We’re just gonna work on getting him healthy and to live and enjoy life and create memories. I’m just so grateful he is still here with us!

She said Yes to the Dress

We had heard such great things about “Celebrate the Occasions” wedding boutique in Cedar so we made that our first stop! It did not disappoint.

First things first! Measurements!
She instantly found seven dresses to try on.
Sadie, Gentry and I had so
much fun helping her find her dress. Every time they pulled back the curtain, we gasped. Each new dress was a favorite!

She has such the perfect shape. Every dress looked so good on her!

She narrowed them down to four and then two. Coming down to this one and the one she ended up getting!
The one!!Absolutely Beautiful!
Glowing! Love her Smile and joy in this pic!

Adding the veil!
When you know you know!
Even the booty looks great!

It’s a two toned dress covered in lace and she looked stunning!
She was determined to rent a dress but when you find “the one” you take it!
We went to lunch at Pizza Factory before heading home. It was such a fun day!
