Happy 14th Birthday Callister!

Calli turned 14 on November 22, 2011
She woke up to her favorite breakfast, hash browns.
At school Jordan had decorated her locker.
After school she went to soccer practice and handed out donuts. After practice we picked her up and went to Red Lobster...her choice. After dinner she asked if we could go to a store. So we went to Target. (When she has money, it just burns a hole in her pocket until she spends it) Se bought a few things and then we went home and opened presents and had brownies and ice cream.
Calli is so excited about her purple converse.

But not as excited as she was about her Justin Bieber blanket. She also got a full length mirror, vinyl for her room that say's "Never Say Never" and then $20 from Grandma and Grandpa Peterson and a gift card to Bath and Body Works from Grandma and Grandpa Losee.

Then we had Brownies with ice cream, whip cream, chocolate sauce and Oreos.

14 candles in one brownie.
Happy Birthday Calli. We sure do love you!

Jubilee of Trees!

Gentry and Sadie performed at the Jubilee of trees again this year with Premier Dance Company.
Gentry is is Ballet and Tumbling this year. She performed with her ballet class.  She is loving it especially now that Hallee is in both of her classes.

Sadie performed in 5 different dances. She did her ballet, jazz, Embrace, tap and my favortite hip hop. She is also in tumbling.  I was super impressed with Sadie progress.  She has improved so much and is loving it. Sje just seemed in her element up on the stage.
Good job Girls!

Air Show!

We have wanted to go down to Nellis to the Air Show for a few years now but with the girls being involved with Dicken's each year we couldn't ever go, so we made sure we got down there this year.
Early that morning Sadie had Team Dance Pictures.
Kassi and Sadie trying to stay warm waiting for their turn.
As soon as the pictures were done we met Ben and Stacy's family at the Tire Store so we could travel down together. Kassi, Sadie and Gentry trying to get honks from the passing cars.

We parked and scarfed down a quick lunch in the parking lot before loading on the shuttle.

All the kids on the shuttle to the Air Show!

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by this huge plane that we walked through to get to the rest of the air show.

Kassi and Sadie on the platform leading to the inside of the plane.

The kids sitting where the soldiers sit in flight.

Watching an air demonstration. It was sooo cool!

Gentry had the best seat in the house. But after a jet did a very loud and fast fly by, low to the ground she got freaked out that they were going to hit her in the head and got down.

The Patriots in flight.  Behind them their jet streams were red, white and blue.

After each demo the pilot drives by the crowds and waves.

The kids all buckled up in another plane that we toured.

After we walked around a bit we found a spot to sit down and wait for the "Thunder birds to fly" Gentry saw a frozen lemonade stand. Gentry is holding her breath until we said she can have one. (Off of Despicable Me)

The Thunder birds getting ready to fly.

5 of the 6 planes flying side by side. It is unreal the tricks and formations they can do.

All 6 in a tight formation.

This plane went straight up 3 miles in about 5 seconds. They did flips, turns, inverted stunts, and near misses as they would pass each other.

Checking out the "Stealth Plane" It was so cool. They call it the "Invisible Defender."
It was so amazing to see the demonstrations and all the different planes, helicopters, jets and tanks. It was a moving experience...makes you proud to be an American. It was a full, fun day, something I would love to do again. Adam was in absolute heaven, like a kid in a candy store looking at all the different planes.

Veterans Day Parade!

On Veterans Day Calli had 2 different parades to march in.
She looks so small with that big drum.

My Birthday!

I had a great Birthday.  The celebrating lasted through the week.  On Tuesday (my birthday) I woke up to Red roses, cinnamon rolls and a GALLON of Egg Nog.   I had to teach preschool that day but in between classes, Adam showed up with a picnic lunch for the 2 of us to enjoy.  After the girls were out of school we had the usual running around to piano and dance. We picked Sadie and Gentry up from dance early and headed to Red Lobster with my mom and dad for dinner.  After dinner we came home for cupcakes and presents.  I got the new Pirates DVD and the first season of Psych from the girls along with a homemade candy card that they made using their Halloween candy. On the back they taped 4 quarters and wrote "PS Go buy yourself something nice (from the dollar store) I laughed and laughed and then  Adam surprised me with a sonic toothbrush and a hanging porch swing.
The next morning I got up and got the girls off to school and then Adam and I headed down to Las Vegas for a "Pool Show" with Sean, Amy, Curt and Ronda.  We walked the floor, visited with my brother who lives in Payson but is there each year with his business, grabbed some lunch and then went to the M&M factory. After shopping a bit we all met up again and went to dinner at PF Changs.  We didn't get home until after midnight.  We had a good time.
On Friday, we had a Relief Society Adults Holiday Social with good food and good company.
Then on Saturday, we went to Calli's soccer game and then dropped the girls off at home with dinner and a movie and Adam and I went out on a "Peterson Style Getaway." It was a great week.  (A week full of nights that I don't have to cook dinner = a happy happy birthday to me!)

Family enjoying the swing on different days throughout the week.

Happy Halloween 2011!

Halloween day was full of fun activities like:
School Halloween Parades
Gentry 2nd grade 8 years old as Frenchie from Grease. (Her BFF Hallee was Sandy)

Sadie 5th grade 11 years old Justin Biebers #1 Fan.

Class Parties.
I went into Gentry's classroom and helped with her party.

Trick or Treating
All dressed up ready to go.
Calli 8th grade 13 years old was also Justin Biebers #1 fan.
The back of Sadie and Calli
We had some parties to get to that night so we didn't have much time to go trick or treating. We ran down to the city office building for their trick or treating and haunted house and then hit a few of our favorite houses on the way to the parties!
We first went to Stacy's house for chili and soup in bread bowls and then over to the mall where my niece was involved in a 100 person mob flash dance.
Jorrin in the back as a 80's aerobic dancer.
After the mall we came to our house for the pinata and games.  Most of the older kids took off and went trick or treating our neighborhood while the adults visited and the little ones played. We had a great Halloween full of fun and family!
