Miss Ivins Pageant

Calli's friend Emma Fisher and Graccie Beck really wanted to do the Miss Ivins Princess Pageant and talked Calli into doing it with them. It was a little bit of a roller coaster ride for her. She felt completely out of her element a lot of the time during rehearsals and workshops but at the same time she had so much fun. She loved all the girls and the director. So she kept trucking along.

 Contestants and last years royalty
Along with weekly workshops they were asked to do a 3 hour service project.
Calli did a Free Soccer Clinic for the kids in our neighborhood. There were 17 kids that showed up.
 Stretching
 Playing Shark
 Practicing their dribbling skills
Calli was a great coach and fun was had by all.
Night of the Pageant...

They had to get gifts for all the contestants, the past royalty, the choreographers and the director.
Calli's head shot from the Photo Shoot...Gorgeous!
Opening Number
Who knew Calli could dance?...She was a darling dancer!

Talent Portion: She played "River Flows Through You" She had to make so many changes to her music up to the last minute and memorize all her changes. She didn't do as well as she had hoped but she was the only one to play piano and it was beautiful.

Active Wear: This was one of my favorites. She looked so cute in her soccer uniform and snowboard gear.
Question and answer portion
She nailed it. She talked about how she was a tom boy and this was her first experience walking in heels.

Results She didn't come away with a crown but it was such a great experience for her.
She is so hard on herself and was upset about her talent but...
was SO happy for Emma who was crowned Miss Ivins!

Calli and Christian

Cal and her besties
Proud parents
and grandparents. She had a pretty good support system and cheering section there.
Calli and Sam Proffit. She loved getting to know these girls and made lifelong friendships.
I'm not sure how much effect it had on the results but the judges were aware that she couldn't commit to the full year and would be heading on her mission, nothing would stop her from serving...not even a sash and a crown. So, so proud of you Calli.

Senior Ball

SCHS Senior Ball 2016
Calli's last high school dance
She was so excited Christian Case asked her.
He asked her with an inside joke of their's
Calli answered back with his favorite food...In n Out. For their date they did several things. Calli had a pageant meeting early that morning and Christian was being spotlighted in High School Sport Insider Magazine so after her meeting she ran over and watched his photo shoot and interview and then they caught up with their group where they played bubble ball soccer.
All ready to go and beautiful! While she was on her day date her glasses that she had ordered the week before came. She wore them to Senior Ball. She loves them. They are so cute on her and look very natural.
Without glasses
Pinning of the Boutonniere.
The cute couple both in their glasses
And one with Calli without.
Talen had come to town to hang out for the week and wanted to surprise Calli. He was bummed when he found out it was Senior Ball and would have to wait until Sunday. But my mom and I put our heads together and found him a date to Senior ball at the last minute. While Calli and Christian were just hanging out waiting to go to the dance Talen and his date Veronica (foreign exchange student at SC) showed up. Calli was shocked. She could not figure out how they knew each other and how he was coming to Senior Ball with them. It was so fun and they all had a blast.
Ready to walk out the door.

Their "Huge" group (Talen included) with their umbrellas, it was pouring!
Dinner, catered by all the boys moms. The dance was at The Ledges. They had a wonderful Time. It was a good last dance for her!

Busy!

I don't think I have ever been busier in my entire life. SO much going on. SO much to balance. Running here and there and everywhere! In just a matter of a couple months we have: our anniversary, Senior Ball, preschool graduation and program, Miss Ivins Princess Pageant, Calli's seminary graduation, Calli's high school graduation and celebrations, camping trip, Grad Night, Disney Cruise and Stake girls camp.  Late nights, early mornings, hours on the computer, texting, emails, meetings, meetings, meetings.  This is all on top of the regular May busyness of track meets, soccer games, year-end performances, award nights, RS callings, scouts, trying to keep grades up, YW and running a household. There are days where I just want to sit and cry from how overwhelmed I am but know there is not time for that so we just keep plugging away. The light is very, very dim but I CAN see it at the end of the tunnel and when I finally get there I am going to celebrate!! I can do hard things! Just keep swimming! I got this!

April Fun

April had some really crazy weather. It was sunny one day and pouring the next. We took full advantage of the rainy days when there was a soccer game to be played.
There's nothing better than soccer and rain
 Gentry playing in a downpour.
Gentry's heat team was having a scrimmage and were short on players. Terry asked Sadie to come and play since she's about their same size. It was so fun watching both of them out there at the same time. Both were playing defenders. Sadie on one side and Gentry on the other.
Sadie was a little nervous to play for Gentry's coach Matt, he can be pretty intense. But he said Sadie did a solid job so she was thrille. Sitting by each other on the bench. They both did really well.
Found these fun selfies on my phone

 Check out those eyes.
Braided Gentry's hair one night so it would be wavy for school and she walked in with this cool do!
April 22 Adam and I celebrated our 21st anniversary. That seems like a long time but it has flown. This man has ha my heart since the first time I saw him and still holding tight. We went to dinner and a movie, which is a rare occasion, we don't get to movie's very often.
This is what happens when we ban cellphones during sacrament meeting. The girls get really creative. They each took turns drawing one line at a time. It took the entire meeting and they actually listened.
Oh my, Gentry's mask she made out of Gak. She is always making something. She loves to make gak, slime, flour balloons, paint her nails and make eggs.
Gentry trying sushi for the first time...she loved it!
I was noticing that the majority of these pictures are of Gentry. This is the norm lately. The other girls are off an about an we get to chill with Bo!
