Spring Break!

Spring Break March 7-11, 2016
 Spring is in the air!
We kicked off Spring Break by heading up north for Travis and Kassandrya's wedding.
After the reception we went to Denny's with Ben and Stacy Family. I snapped this picture of Talen and Calli cuz' I thought it was so funny. They looked like they were on a date! After getting back from Salt Lake and due to being poor because of our upcoming Disney Cruise, we spent Spring Break close to home but decided to put a Disney Cruise twist on it and do a week of Disney activities to get us ready.
Day 1 we had Disneyland Churro Waffles for breakfast
Day 2 was Disney Craft Day. We worked on our Fish Extender Gifts for the Cruise.

Okay, so this last picture isn't a fish extender it's just something I made for myself ! haha!
Day 3 we went to the Disney Movie Zootopia...loved it! (Gentry was in Mesquite spending a couple days there with Hallee for Spring Break, needless to say I didn't sleep for those two nights, I hate when my kids aren't home)
Day 4 A little R&R! aka time to tan those white legs before the cruise!

We drove down to Mesquite to play with Kami, Tanya, Gentry and the kids for the day!
Day 5 to finish out our week we made our favorite Disneyland treat...Dole Whip!
It was a nice relaxing and low key vacation!

Preference 2016

February 20, 2016
Calli asked her best friend Christian Case. He is a wrestler at Snow Canyon so she got creative and asked him in "wrestling terms."
It said "We'll make the perfect MATCH, so don't STALL, Can I PIN you as my date and TAKE DOWN preference with you, so I don't have to go SINGLET?

Decorating his workout room! He loved it!
He answered her back by spelling YES in rocks by Ivins Reservoir and then taking a drive with her to find it. It was super cute! This picture was taken the day of preference. They went to Ivins Res. for their pictures and it was still there.
For their day date they went fishing at the ponds where everyone caught at least one fish and then to Wendy's for lunch.
Ready for Pictures, Dinner and the Dance!
 Christian and Calli
 Their Group!
For dinner they went to my parents backyard and had soup bowls and salad under the lights and stars.
She had a great time! Can't believe it was her last Preference.

Crappy Couple of Weeks!

It all began when our computer got compromised. We know that someone had access to it for about 20 minutes. We also know that they downloaded something. We do not know what they downloaded or what they saw or gained access too. As soon as we realized what was happening we unplugged everything and called our friend who works with computers. He could tell us that something was downloaded but couldn't find the path  he took to download it. So to be safe we replaced EVERYTHING! Computer, bank accounts, credit cards and all our passwords. It has been the gift that keeps on giving. We were without any funds for 72 hours and then it took about 3 weeks to get everything transferred over, stop checks from clearing and making phone calls to Credit card companies. It sucked but it does feel good to have all new accounts and passwords now.  Among that whole mess I had two big Stake Camp Meetings to get under my belt (I was called to be the Stake Girls Camp Director  back in December and have spent the last few months calling my assistant, committee, picking a theme, making a schedule and planning things out. It has been really busy especially with still having my RS calling and helping Adam with scouts. I have felt the adversary working on me double time to stop the work but I have also seen small miracles along the way too. The planning continued and I am so excited about camp, our theme and our committee. It is going to be awesome...which is big coming from me because girls camp has never been my favorite thing. But I am so excited to have all three of my girls there with me. Calli-on the stake board with me, Sadie-4th year and Gentry's 1st year.) If that wasn't enough...on top of the computer issue and the stress of preparing for these meetings I got the flu. It hit me hard and I was down flat in bed for a week. It hit everyone in the family except Sadie and took two weeks to make it's rounds before leaving.  Ugh. It has been a rough few weeks. Calli missed a couple days of school and Gentry missed an entire week. Although, Adam and I did have a few sick days together which was kinda nice just lounging and watching movies together for a couple days. But we are now on the up and up and ready to tackle the world again. Tis'Life!!!

President's Day Weekend and Valentines Day!

February 12-13, 2016 Provo City Center Temple
Friday night we drove to Provo after the girls got out of school and made it to the temple before our 8:30 pm reservation.
The temple looked so pretty as we were driving towards it.

There was a huge crowd and the line weaved around and around. (The girls said they wish they had a Disney Fast pass) It looked liked it would take forever but surprisingly it moved
continuously and only took about 20 minutes.

It was amazing and so beautiful! We loved spending time in the reception area reading about the history, the fire and how they built it under ground. It was pretty fascinating. It has three main entrances. One of which is two stories down. It was so interesting entering under ground.

 Fountain outside

Enjoying the view.
After our tour we drove to Stacy's for the night. The next morning while Sadie and Gentry stayed to hang out with Kassi and Trasen, Calli, Adam and I headed to UVU for the SC state wrestling to support Weston and Christian.
It was so much fun and so intense.
Christian Case
We watched both Weston and Christen wrestle three times. Each of them winning two and losing one.
Calli hugging Christian after his huge and emotional win. This win earned him a metal.
Snow Canyon did really well. 7 wrestlers started at state and all 7 got medals. A new SC record. Weston came in 6th in state and Christian in 5th.  I think I might be a new fan of this sport. It was tons of fun. We ran back to pick up the girls and then made it back for the championships and awards. By the time we left it was 8 pm. We grabbed dinner, got on the road and was home by midnight!
The next morning, Sunday was Valentines Day!
Woke up to Flowers and a note from Adam.
Made the girls these fun little valentines for breakfast.

And then had fondue for Valentines Dinner. I told the girls it was our "fond-of -you" dinner. I thought it was pretty clever. It was however super yummy!
