Pine Valley Camping Trip
Calli and Sadie (and their boys) had a reception Friday night that they wanted to go to, so Adam, Gentry and I headed up Friday around 5:30 to get things set up and they came up later that night!
While Gentry and I were getting out all the camp chairs we saw a bear...turns out it was just a cow.
All set up...Time for some relaxation.

We ate dinner and then around 8:00, we drove down just far enough to get reception to call the girls and let them know which campsite we were in. They were hoping to leave by 9:30.
While waiting for them so show up we entertained ourselves by playing games...

Until she noticed I had my camera out!
Around 10:30 when they should have been arriving, we went out and got the fire started for Smore's. Around 11:00, they were still not there and Adam and I got anxious. So we jumped in the truck, said a prayer and went looking for them. We didn't have to go far, they were just pulling into the campgrounds.
So glad to have everyone there safe and sound. We stayed up chatting around the campfire and eating smores until around 1:00am and then decided to head to bed.
We had all seven of us in the trailer. Girls on the bunk and boys on the couches. It worked out pretty good. They stayed up a bit longer playing games and watching a movie.
Next morning we had all day just to play and relax.

We hung out after breakfast for a while and just relaxed and then all headed out for a walk.

We came back and ate lunch and then...yep more relaxation.

We drove down to the market to get some essentials...firewood and ice cream!!

We went back down to the reservoir for some fishing.
Jason spotted a snake and everyone suddenly forgot about the fish!
He jumped in waist deep but he got him.

Another late night around the campfire, eating banana boats and chatting. We slept in the next morning, ate breakfast and then loaded up to come home. What a fun camping trip! It was so good having the whole crew there together and getting to know Jason and Austin better. It was fun to see them open up and be themselves around us and of course, I absolutely adore any chance I get to hang out with the girls and Adam. "There's no wifi in the mountains, but I promise you'll find a better connection"
