Troy

Troy Oquirrah Peterson
04/24/2009 - 11/18/2022
We had a sad day in the our home when we had to put down our puppy Troy! He was 13 years old and lived a good full life!
He had definitely been showing signs of aging for the past few years but we were all a little surprised how fast he declined in the last week. He had been having a hard time getting around but still always seemed so happy. He’d still wag his tail and give kisses every time he saw us. He didn’t seem to be in pain just slowing down by then within a week, he lost all mobility in his back legs. We’d help him outside to go to the bathroom. He would try to help us so much with his front legs. But then he started losing control of his bowels, stopped eating (he’d still drink) slept most of time and got the shakes. I really dragged my feet at convincing myself it was time. I made Adam call Micah and the vet to get their opinions. They all agreed. Sadie was stellar during his last year. His decline made her so sad and gave him him constant care and loves. She had a couple traumatizing experiences the last few days helping him to the bathroom that helped convince her it was time.  By the time we set the appointment we all felt at peace…heart broken but at peace.
Calli and Levi came out the night before to say goodbye. I had quickly made a photo album of all the pictures and adventures of Troy. I hoped they would remember the good times and not the past couple of days.
We had him in the garage because he had an accident in his room and Adam had the carpet pulled up.
Such tender moments.

He tried getting up so Sadie took him out again.
We actually had a good laugh when he kept walking around with his front legs and she was scrambling behind him with his hind legs trying to keep up! Haha!

Adam and I picked a spot in the back yard back by the garden and dug the hole.
Last picture of him at home!

Family pic! We all met at the vet to be there with him. The vet agreed to come outside to our truck. We didn’t want him getting scared or nervous. He was in Adam’s truck surrounded by the girls.
Lots of tears were shed.
We were all so sad to see him go. We all went back to the house and buried him.
May we always remember the birthday parties, camping trips, walks, playing basketball, obstacle courses, homemade dog biscuits, playing hide-n-seek, his tricks, chasing the bobbers when fishing, playing with bubbles,  hiking, burying our licorice, reading stories together, and the cuddles, kisses and love!
  We will miss you Bubba!!

Sky Show

Love when sky show comes to Vegas. We invited Mati and made a whole day of it with the Cains!
Road Trip with this Motely Crew!
Cains were about 3 miles ahead of us, so we shared our location in pictures all the way down haha!
It was hilarious!

Passing the same truck!

It took us almost the entire two hours but we finally caught up! I spy Cains!!
They spied us in the rear view mirror
Passing each other!!

Just relaxing and waiting for the next show!

We kept calling Mati the poster child for the air show. He loved it. She would get so excited. He even bought a pair of aviators.

Later in the day we walked around and checked out all the planes and helicopters.
