Air Show!

We have wanted to go down to Nellis to the Air Show for a few years now but with the girls being involved with Dicken's each year we couldn't ever go, so we made sure we got down there this year.
Early that morning Sadie had Team Dance Pictures.
Kassi and Sadie trying to stay warm waiting for their turn.
As soon as the pictures were done we met Ben and Stacy's family at the Tire Store so we could travel down together. Kassi, Sadie and Gentry trying to get honks from the passing cars.

We parked and scarfed down a quick lunch in the parking lot before loading on the shuttle.

All the kids on the shuttle to the Air Show!

As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by this huge plane that we walked through to get to the rest of the air show.

Kassi and Sadie on the platform leading to the inside of the plane.

The kids sitting where the soldiers sit in flight.

Watching an air demonstration. It was sooo cool!

Gentry had the best seat in the house. But after a jet did a very loud and fast fly by, low to the ground she got freaked out that they were going to hit her in the head and got down.

The Patriots in flight.  Behind them their jet streams were red, white and blue.

After each demo the pilot drives by the crowds and waves.

The kids all buckled up in another plane that we toured.

Calli in the cockpit driving the plane.

Sadie and Gentry as her co-pilot.

After we walked around a bit we found a spot to sit down and wait for the "Thunder birds to fly" Gentry saw a frozen lemonade stand. Gentry is holding her breath until we said she can have one. (Off of Despicable Me)

The Thunder birds getting ready to fly.

5 of the 6 planes flying side by side. It is unreal the tricks and formations they can do.

All 6 in a tight formation.

This plane went straight up 3 miles in about 5 seconds. They did flips, turns, inverted stunts, and near misses as they would pass each other.

Checking out the "Stealth Plane" It was so cool. They call it the "Invisible Defender."
It was so amazing to see the demonstrations and all the different planes, helicopters, jets and tanks. It was a moving experience...makes you proud to be an American. It was a full, fun day, something I would love to do again. Adam was in absolute heaven, like a kid in a candy store looking at all the different planes.
