Soccer Season Part 2

Part two of soccer season has had it's ups and downs. It has been the season of "Double OverTimes" We had 5 overtime games this season with three of them during the last half of the season. It is always so intense and so exhausting

Back at PV for round 2. 

It was another intense one. Went into overtime again and ended in a Tie 2-2

Calli was a bit disappointed with her game tonight even though she played incredible. When she got home she got another text from Mucci her trainer...

His texts always cheer her up. 

SC wins Cedar 2-3 in another double overtime

This was our biggest victory game of the season. We had lost to Cedar last time and Cedar was in first place so we wanted it bad and they proved it.

 Calli had another great game and a killer save. She was covering Madda in the goal as Madda went out and the ball went past Madda and straight for the goal. Calli stuck her foot out and got a enough of a touch on it to send it out. The crowd went wild. 

 Adam in his usual "intense game spot" I have to admit I cried at the end of this game. It was such a big win and I was so happy for them.

Mucci filmed this game and posted it on a recruit site for coaches to see. The next day Calli got this email from the coach in Colorado. 

As things seemed to be getting more serious we sat down and talked about her future. Her first priority is still a mission. So that is the way she will go and if any colleges are willing to work around that then we'll see what happens. Calli texted me after she got the email and said "this is so weird for me" and all I could text back is "me too" This is all surreal. Something we've never dealt with before. We'll just see what happens.

 This was the most devastating game of the season! For us to have just won Cedar and then lose to Dixie who had lost most of their games was hard.

This was Gooch's last day before moving. Calli and Morgan will miss her!

 We spotted the poster that Jadyn and Jake were holding up.

 It was a close-up of a picture that was in the St. George News that looks like Calli is crossed eyed.  Jadyn is getting revenge from the State picture a few years ago where she was cross eyed!

Thier gifts they got. I forgot to take a picture but this an example that they had emailed everyone. They got an awesome blanket with their name and number on it, a team pictures, cards from the coaches, a soccer charm necklace, gift certificates and other misc. items.

Within the first few minutes SC had made 2 goals so Kunde (wanting to keep his Varsity players rested and uninjured for play-offs) threw in all the JV to finish out the game.
