January 3rd! This was seriously one of the best Holiday breaks we have had. One of my favorite for sure. So much fun packed in those two short weeks, We did not want to see it end and were holding on to every last minute we could. So on Saturday, we decided to go sledding. None of the "boys" we able to come so it ended up just being the 5 of us and it was an absolute blast. We laughed until our stomachs hurt. Adam said he had never had so much fun sledding before.
The only part that wasn't fun was getting pulled over and Adam getting a ticket, on our way but we didn't let it spoil our day or fun!
We found snow in Pine Valley and the perfect hill. We were the only ones there and had the hill all to ourselves.
Adam hitting the slopes.
Calli's turn
Sadie and Gentry decided to do the first couple runs together.
Looking down at the truck from the top of the hill.
The Big Hill
I took screen shots of some of the videos I took...Oh my gosh, we are still laughing at these pictures, faces and wipe outs!
Gentry took quite a tumble. She hit her head and had a headache later that day but thankfully was okay.
Gentry having the time of her life while holding on for dear life around Sadie's neck. Haha!
Calli had a stick go right through her sled. We only had one sled, so Adam and I took off that morning on a sled hunt. We went to 4 stores before we finally found some They were all youth sizes and pretty cheap but it was better than nothing. By the end of our run the only one that survived was the one we originally had.
Our turn
Adam got covered in snow,
Family Selfie!
Sure do love them
Getting ready to do a family sledding train!
Here we go!!
We did it!
More selfies
More pics of wipe outs, screams and giggles.
Heading out. I snapped a quick pic of "Our Hill"
We grabbed a bite to eat at Zuppas as we rolled back into town. The soup warmed us all right back up.
As we walked in the house, we felt a cold draft, once we walked around the corner, we saw why...Troy had "let" himself in the house and was just laying on the living room floor. Haha! It was such a fabulous day. We all had so much fun and couldn't quit talking about the fun we had. It was the PERFECT end to a PERFECT holiday season. Sad to see it end but glad to have the memories.
