Easter & General Conference Weekend

Weekends like this, is what dreams are made of. Surrounded by family, celebrating Easter and being spiritually fed. Doesn't get any better than tthat! Friday night Mati came into town, Austin was in town for the weekend and Calli was hanging out with a boy she's been seeing for a few weeks named Dallin Jacobsen. Later Friday night around 9:30 pm we all met out at our house and watched the new Disney movie Raya and the Last Dragon. It was very cute.
Saturday Morning, we woke up and made Beignets for breakfast. (Calli bought this mix for us in New Orleans)
Of course we had to make a few Mickey ones. We'll get our fix anyway we can.
Breakfast is served.
Watching Conference and doing nails. We had Calli and Mati for the first session.
Conference Goodies.
Between Conferences, we did our Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt...never too old for an Easter Egg Hunt. We had the three girls, Mati and Austin.

They were scanning QR codes and following the clues to their next clue.

They found their loot. There was basket of goodness for all of them
The boys got "Movie Baskets" Full of everything they would need for a movie including a microwave popcorn popper, popcorn, seasoning, candy and Amazon gift card.
The girls each got new Chacos Sandals, bath and body works body wash, lotion, candle and candy. Adam and I got new sandals as well. (Perfect for an upcoming Moab trip)
Checking out their baskets. The family also got the game Secret Hitler.
Dallin came out for the 2nd session of conference. After the 2nd session, we went to the Arts Festival and walked around and browsed for a couple hours.
Came back for hamburgers and games.
Be still my heart!! I love this crew and hanging out with them. Picture perfect moment.
After dinner we had a corn hole tournament.
Austin and Sadie were again the reining champions. After our  tournament we came inside for a few loud, competitive rounds of Secret Hitler. Oh my gosh, this is such a fun game but it gets so intense that you can only play a few rounds before you're completely drained. Haha! We then played a couple rounds of Pounce until after midnight!
Sunday morning everyone came back over for our big conference breakfast and to watch General Conference. Mati and I worked on the Manti Lego temple for both sessions..
In between session we went for a hike at the Kayenta South Wash.

Little dare devils, always having to push the limits!

Sisters!! Sadie was saying goodbye to Austin so she didn’t come on the hike with us.

The Easter bunny was in the wash with us hiding eggs and surprises. It was funny to see these things scattered throughout the hike.

After our hike and during the second session the kids decorated their Easter eggs.
After conference we had invited the grandparents over for dinner. We had a couple quick games of volleyball while waiting for them to get there!
Boys vs girls! The girls huddling and making a plan. Must have worked because the girls won!
Adam out did himself. We had brisket, dutch oven chicken, dutch oven potatoes, rolls, salad, jello salad, cheesecake and ice cream for dinner. After dinner Amber and Eric came to town so we wandered down to see them at Lyman and Marilee’s. Such a beautiful weekend spent with family. I didn’t want it to end!! Happy Easter!
