Who decides to do some renovations while also planning a baby shower, a bridal shower, the arrival of a our first grandson and a wedding?...Oh, that's right, us!! Caution, before reading this saga, just know you will never get the next three minutes of your life back...you've been warned. Haha!
What started as a "let's move the piano into the study to make more room in the living room" turned into a chapter right out of "If you give a mouse a cookie" If we move the piano in the study, then we need a new desk, and new carpet, but if we get new carpet in the study then we need new carpet in the living room and then we'll need a new couch and rug for the living room to match the new carpet (which is a whole other story which now affects re-decorating the bedroom as well) and if we are going to get new carpet we might as well paint the walls before the new carpet is installed and if we are going to repaint then maybe we should do all new base and case and if we do all that then we might as rip all the carpet off the staircases and add wood... but how will we get up and down the stairs while under construction...several days of though go by... oh, we can section off half to use while working on the other half , then once done, we can section off the other half, easier said then done, but we lived through it. That was phase 1! Which is now complete! But everyone knows you can't have a phase 1 without a phase 2, 3 & 4. So, completely un-related, we decided to retile our bathroom floors and because I couldn't decide between two tiles, we'll do one on the bathroom and one on the deck so we might as well get them both, while they are available right? (but of course, we ripped up the previous floor before deciding on the tile so plywood floors it is for now. Oh, also, you know what would look great, if we rocked the pillars in the backyard and while we are at it we might as well get extra rock and add more to the front, maybe we should paint all the house trim... Phase 2 underway... Phase 3 coming soon, ripping out walls, because why not. Phase 4 checking ourselves in to a psych ward because clearly we are insane. Stay tuned. Haha!

The Chair! This is the "whole other story" While at Blvd, looking for a couch, I fell in love with this chair, not once by twice.
Apparently, I had seen this chair at months before and snapped a picture of Adam sitting in it. After seeing it again and loving it I wondered if it was the same chair and found this picture...yep! I tried EVERYTHING to make that darn chair work in the living room. Asking ChatGPT to rearrange and add the chair several times. But jus couldn't make it work. I was going to give up on the chair when I had the brillant idea of putting it in our bedroom, but you know what that means, new bedding...phase 2! haha!
