Kristen Stout and I once again did our annual Dixie Care and Share family event. It is getting bigger and bigger we invited over 50 families this year. We had a great turn out and as always had such a great time visiting with all our friends, family, neighbors and ward members.
As soon as the event was over we ran into the chocolate factory for a family night of service. Dad was leaving town the next day to deliver chocolate but they didn't have enough ready for him to take so we all met and busted it out. It was fun. I love family and the way everyone pulls together to help each other out. it was about 10:30 by the time we left.
On the way home, Adam was taking instructions from Sadie on how to get home. If she say turn he'd turn and she said go straight he'd go straight. Well, we had just entered the "horse round about" and she told him to go straight so he began teasing her and went straight which led us straight to the curb before she yelled out no turn, turn, as he turned the wheel he looked up he noticed a police officer sitting there. We were inches from hitting his bumper. Adam swerved back on the road and continued home sure enough here came the lights. The officer was really funny and anxious to hear what happened back there in the round about. Adam told him and we all laughed. He let us go and said "have a good night and drive straight" it was so funny.
one of my favorite traditions!
