With Soccer Season coming to an end for the year, here are some misc. pictures from the last couple regular season games, senior night and the first two games of the play-offs.

Warming up
Senior Night. They had the entire team line-up with the Varsity tonight.
The 7 Seniors being honored: Lauren Mitchell, Sydney Layton, Grace Walton, Kaylee Brooks, Lexi Mild, Tirsa Snyder and Lauren Smith. It's always so hard seeing the seniors go. Calli has grown to love each one of them and will miss them so much.
Another Beautiful night for Soccer.
The 4 "Dual Players" Calli, Addy, Mishayla, and Jenny getting instruction from Coach Kunde while waiting to go in. These 4 players play on both JV and Varsity. They all go in for JV during the first half and get the party started and usually get a few points on the board. At half time they head to the locker room with Varsity, leaving the rest of the JV game for the Freshman and few Sophomores to finish up.
Last away game of the season against PV. These games are always tough games and get pretty intense, this was no different and PV came away with the win.
Like father, like son. Adam and his dad couldn't handle sitting through this intense game, so they opted to stand.

This was a huge loss for Snow Canyon and the team and coaches came away pretty upset. Not too many players rode the bus home that night, they all rode with their parents. They were so scared for practice the next day. They knew it would be a hard one. As they arrived and huddled together on the field several girls started crying. After a discussion on what went wrong and what they needed to do to approve on, Coach Kunde said "Well, we don't need any balls today" and Calli thought "Oh, man we are going to be running this whole practice." Then Kunde said "And we don't have any water either" and Calli thought "We have to run without water?" Then Kunde just looked at them all and said "Who's wants ice cream?" They all looked at him stunned. He took the entire team to Arctic Circle and bought shakes for the team instead of practice that day. That was the probably the best thing he could have done for them. Rather than yell at them he gave them encouragement. They came away from that experience rejuvenated. Calli thought it was so cool. She really likes Kunde and thinks he is a great coach. He really cares about the girls and wants them to succeed. He even had a study group in place of a practice this year to help some of the players keep their grades up. Snow Canyon ended the season in 3rd place but ready to leave it all out on the field for play-offs...
First up Ben Lomond on their field. The girls loaded up Tuesday, October 15 after school and headed out. I had to take a picture of these buses because the soccer team and the cross country team were heading out at the same time and two buses showed up to pick them each up. One was brand spanking new and super nice while the other was old and looked like it was falling apart. I stopped and said a silent prayer of safety as I watched the girls soccer team load the older bus. They got there safe and sound. Being on a Wednesday, Adam and I were not able to make it to this game (the first one we have ever missed) so we had updates coming to us through texts. I will never miss another game, it was sooo stressful waiting for those texts to come in. Every time my phone would alert me that another text came through I'd close my eyes not wanting to look at it.
But, luckily, they pulled it off, they won the first round moving them into the quarter finals.
I had to chuckle as I got texts from Calli that night on their way home saying that their bus kept breaking down. They finally transferred to a different bus from Millard County and made it home around 3 am. That Friday, the team headed out again for their next game against Juan Diego. Adam and I along with Sadie, Gentry, Jadyn and grandma and grandpa Losee all jumped in our car and headed up Saturday morning.
With most of my family up north now we called them all and invited them to the game. Calli had quite the cheering section. Actually, the entire Snow Canyon team had quite the cheering section, our side was packed. We had more fans than Juan Diego did. It was awesome! They played a good, hard fought game but came away with the loss. Calli had a great game and received several compliments from parents and some who didn't even know her. She is a tough little player.
Snow Canyon's last traditional run together this year.
The team sharing tears and hugs after the game.
Calli chatting with her many family supporters.
Calli and Jadyn.
Calli has loved having Jadyn around for an extra year as she helped coach the team.
Calli's nails courtesy of Coach Brough.
He is seriously so good at painting nails. He painted every single players nails for this game complete with green and gold polish, a soccer ball and their #. We were pretty impressed.
Calli getting on the bus to head home. She wanted to ride the bus one last time with everyone. They drove to the Rio Tinto stadium and had a team pow wow before going to dinner and then heading home. She LOVES these trips. The bonding that takes place between the girls on these trips are priceless. They have room assignments each trip and never know who their 3 other room mates and bed buddies are going to be. But she always comes away having so much fun and getting to know the girls better and better. She comes homes with quite the stories of water fights, late night chats, wrestling matches, getting kicked out of gas stations, pow wows, being chased and tripped in the hotel hallways and looking up seeing your coach standing over you, late night movies and all the fun things that can happen when you share a bed and a room with a bunch of girls...the coaches must have so much patience.
We stopped for a quick bite on our way out as well with some of the family that came to the game.
Kassi, Sadie and Maddie had a table all to themselves.

Another great Snow Canyon soccer season has come to an end. So sad to think that her high school soccer career is half over. Sad to see two season's come and go but so excited to still have two more to go.
This has been such an amazing experience for Calli and she grows more and more each year. The girls, coaches and staff are outstanding. Having 30 instant friends, bus ride adventures, the laughs, the tears, bonding moments, team nights, team lunches, testimony meetings on the soccer fields, prayer before every game and being surrounded by such great examples day in and day out...what more could you ask for.
