Gentry ran her first Triathlon for her school Lava Ridge (their mascot is a Gecko hence the Geck-a-thon)
300m Swim, 4 mile Bike Ride and 2 mile Run

Ready to swim, the water was freezing.
Gentry swimming her 6 laps (12 pool lengths) She was so tired.

They rode from Sand Hollow to Lava Ridge
Running her 2 miles. (2 laps around the field and Gubler park.)

What an achievement! And so much harder than you'd think. I ran the last mile with her and was dying and she had just swam, biked and ran. So proud of her!

A few days before, I had taken Gentry and Hallee out on the bike trail to practice and we got caught right in the middle of this accident.
a truck at SCHS caught fire.
We had to wait for the crowd to disperse so we could pass. So sad.
About a week later they had a ceremony for all who participated.
