For the past five months girls camp had taken over my life, but it took over my life, my kids life and the house the last month getting everything ready.
Sewing 220 "Buff's." Multi wear head wraps for the wards ID's
Value Rock Scavenger Hunt...turned out to be a blast!
Prizes for scavenger hunt.
Painting our awesome temple that Kerry Bang made us.
Booklets. Out theme was The Value of YOU! It was two-fold. We wanted to concentrate on the eight YW values but also the value of each girl. We were not prepared for this theme to take off and encompass so much more, like, Be you and Know your Value. It was pretty amazing. In the beginning I wouldn't have wished this calling on anyone but by the end I hope everyone could have this opportunity, It was one of the best experiences of my life.

We were at the upper camp at Little Thunder
The stake went up on Tuesday and got set up and ready for the wards to arrive the next day.
That night we had testimony meeting with just the stake since Friday night we would be with our wards.

Calli had a BLAST! Even though she was called to the stake she spent a lot of time with the 5th/6th years where some of her best friends were.
The view I looked at each night we drove a few miles to call home.
Calli helping with breakfast. She was called to do skits and a cook helper.
I was sooo excited for Gentry to arrive. I couldn't wait for her to have her first camp experience and was so glad to be there to experience it with her.
They jumped right on the scavenger Hunt and found their first rock.
The first night was skit night.
The Stakes skit. It was a spin-off of Wizard of Oz, where we followed the "value brick road" I was knowledge.
Calli was an immodest munchkin.
Gentry in her skit wearing the ninja mask that was in their surprise skit prop bag that Calli put together.
5th /6th years leading the girls in camp songs.
2nd ward in their cute "knowledge" hoodies.
Wednesday night we had camp kick off where the girls were reminded about "Knowing their Value" with a guest speaker, video and a song written by Kevin Lemke (YW stake 1st co.) just for camp.
She wrote two songs for camp they were amazing. We sang them everyday.
Thursday, Adam brought Sadie up. It was so fun to finally have all my girls there and so good to see Adam, made the week not seem so long. He stayed for dinner and then headed back down until Friday afternoon.

On Thursday we had "YOU Rotations" Where the girls rotated through five rotations:
Brave You - where the girls learned about bearing testimony
Unique You - Where they made their BE YOU camp shirts.
Talented You - Learned a song by Kevin Lemke
Spiritual You - Painted fingernails value colors
Be YOU tiful You - The girls made a craft.
That night was our Special Presentation.
Where we had a speaker, watched Johnny Lingo, had "Mahana" speak to us and learned hula dances. It was great. At one point they asked us to all hold hands and together shout the young theme. It was so emotional. One of my favorite parts.
Amy Moak did an amazing job decorating for the event.
Ivins Stake YW

Later that night the 5th/6th year girls took the first years snipe hunting.
Friday morning we did a Value Walk where we had eight women depicting eight women from the scriptures that represented the eight values. It was really cool.

That afternoon we had the bishoprics come up and do Bishop rotations of games or activities.
Adam came back that afternoon to spend the rest of the time.
I LOVED having my entire family there with me.
The girls were so excited to be there together.
After rotations we had dinner with our wards, then spiritual night where we had a face to face with the stake presidency and then testimony meeting with our wards. The whole day was great!

Each night we found treats on our pillows. So cute!
I also caught Calli reading her scriptures one day on her own. So glad to have spent this time with her before her mission. Loved having my family there, loved my committee, (seriously met and become friends with some amazing ladies. We had a blast) loved the girls, loved girls camp!
