January Fun!
The Peterson's at Johansen's Crew! Calli started working for Adam again a few weeks ago and I made the big transition the first of January. It's been coming for a while (ever since the embezzlement) we just needed to pray about it and get all my ducks in a row. I made the decision that this would be my last year teaching preschool and talked with Tuacahn about a new schedule. They were so happy I wasn't quitting that they said I could just take a hiatus during the off season and then see where I'm at once the season starts. It's been interesting and so stressful. There is so much to learn. Each day I come home mentally exhausted. I do love seeing Adam everyday though. I always knew he was "The Man" at work and the glue that held the company together but it's been eye opening to see just how true it is. He can't walk through the office without being bombarded with questions. So far, so good. We'll see what the future holds.
Starting the "Come Follow Me" Program
Calli, Adam and I went tot eh temple and saw the changes for the first time...love them!
Another round of SkipBo. We've become a bit obsessed. It's such a fun game that just the two of us can play. we may get a bit competitive.
Calli redid her home. Added a vanity and lights. It's so cute!
Night hike to Johnson's arch with the YW led by Bishop Galbraith.
Love these girls.
Adulting...paying her first car payment.
One big circle...The morning call left on her mission we went to the Crepery, it was crazy to be back and see things come full circle. After crepes we went to Aquaman. It was so good.
Baptisms with the YW and our 3 new 11 year olds. Love the changes the church continues to make.
Sadie had been wanting to dye her hair for so long and finally did.
It is gorgeous!
Gentry also had a big change...glasses. She had been wanting them for when her contacts give her troubles in the mornings.
Picking just the right pair.
Found them!!
She was pretty easy and found them within a few minutes and knew they were the ones.
So cute!
Took Calli to get a massage to help her stay loose in between her neck appointments. Both us did the foot soak.
Calli had really been wanting to drive up north and see Emma, her friend that just returned from her mission. She said she needed to grow-up. We were supportive but hesitant. The first weekend she wanted to go we just didn't feel good about it so when it came up again we decided it was time:) We wouls be going up the next day anyway and the weather was good so made a plan, added her on "find your friends" and she was off. We tracked her the whole time and she did fantastic.
The next morning the rest of us drove to Payson for Ashlynn's welcome home and Austin's Farewell. Such a good Day!
We also got to meet Tavin and Brittney's Emery. What a doll!
We all took our turn holding her. Being a great aunt is the best!
Cousins hanging out! Love that this crew is so close.
Our 3 returned missionaries.
Retuened missionaries and our out-going missionary.
They next group of up and coming in the family. It will be fun to see their next chapter.
Saying our goodbyes to Austin. Best of Luck Austin!
The sunset was gorgeous on the drive home! Calli, Sadie and Gentry followed us home and again Calli did great. So proud of her!
YW making hygiene kits for Bangladesh.
The BYU baseball team came down for a weekend and had practice and scrimmaged.
WE went and cheered on Austin.
The newest chapel to be built in St. George (right across the street from the temple) burned to the ground. It wasn't even finished yet. The dedication would have been in April. They are suspecting arson. We drove by and snapped a couple pictures. So, so sad!!
