Mother's Day Weekend Getaway!

For BYU's last home game in the conference we decided to make a weekend out of it. Adam met Calli at home at 2:00 and then started making the rounds. He picked up Bo from School, me from work and then we all picked up Sadie from Evans. We grabbed some Firehouse Subs and hit the road leaving about 3:00. The game started at 6:00pm. We knew we'd be about 40 minutes late but Sadie didn't want to use up a Friday (she can only miss 6 during the entire year) so we left right at 3:00 and drove straight there. When we hit Nephi we turned on the game and started listening to it. We were shocked when the announcer said that the game was sold out. This hasn't happened in 12 years. We decided to give it a shot anyway. We knew Austin had set aside a ticket for Sadie so at least she could get in.
She refused to go in without us. There was a stand by line when we got there so we crossed our fingers and jumped in it. The girls hanging out waiting for them to let the stand by line in. About the 4th inning we all got to go in.
It was perfect timing, Austin had just gotten in the game as well.
On Twitter they said it was an attendance record with over 3,000 fans. Pretty Cool!

Fireworks after the game.
Number 1 fan with her favorite player.
This is the cutest thing ever. After each game little boys run around and ask for the players autographs. Their eyes just light up as they look up to these players. It's my favorite part of the whole game. After the game, Sadie and Austin went to dinner with his family and we went and visited Kevin and Jen.  Then went and ate dinner and then went back to the hotel.
Midnight Shake run to JCW's! Saturday morning Adam and I got up early and went shopping for Mother's Day while the girls slept in and got ready. I finally found me a pair of Birkenstocks I'd been wanting. We went back and picked up Sadie and Gentry and headed to the game at 1:00pm. Calli was being picked up by friends for the afternoon.  It was a warm game and we all got sunburned.  But worth it because they won and got the series.  It was actually the longest game of the season so far, lasting about 5 1/2 hours.  Sadie and Austin met up with friends and we met up with Calli and went to dinner at one of our new favorites, Zuppas and back to the hotel again. We were exhausted.
Sunday, Austin's family was gone so he came and hung out with us for the day. We went to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was pretty cool. It was a fun day to spend with family.
A cacoa tree. This is where Amberlyn chocolates get their cocoa beans.

Poison Dart Frogs. So cute. If you look close you can see a blue, yellow, green and yellow and black one. They are so bright.

Heading to the Shark Tunnel

Oh, the penguins were adorable. We hung out here forever just watching and laughing.

Cute baby Jaguar.
4-D Ice Age Movie.  After the aquarium we went to dinner at Buffalo Waild Wings and hit the road to come home, not getting back until 10:00 pm. We were tired and ready to be home but it was a fun little getaway.
