BYU Game and Hiking the Y

Another fun weekend spent in Provo!
Love road trips
And the snowy peaks
Beautiful day for a ballgame
Enjoying our Firehouse subs during the game

Sitting in the stadium, you can see the softball field, football and the soccer field. Pretty cool!  Cougars came away with the win.
After the game, Sadie went to dinner with Demings, we checked into the hotel and got ready to go hike the Y. It's kinda become a joke in our family. Every time we are in Provo I ask to hike the Y in which I usually get out voted. But not today...today I finally got to hike the Y. Bucket List Check. Gentry opted out so we left her in the hotel while Adam and I tackled the mountain. We passed the MTC and Provo Temple on the way to the trail head.

Trail Map with the 13 turns to the top.

At each turn there was a sign with inspirational words to help you stay motivated, plus cool facts about the hike.

We stopped for a break and to look at the view through the telescopes

Stopped again at the middle of the Y but not for long, the top was the goal.

Got a kick out of this sign. Choose the right to the top and the left to the bottom...we choose the right.
Finally turn #13

Amazing skies. It was overcast and we even got a bit of sprinkles

Heading back down
Looking back at where we had been. We grabbed Gentry from the hotel, went to Trader Joes which has become our new Provo tradition,  and met up with Austin and Sadie and drove to American Fork for dinner with Talen and Bethany. It was so good to see family. We drove through JCW's for ice cream and headed back to the hotel for the night.
The next morning we picked up Dominoes and took it to a park to eat and play around.

And Paths at the park
Austin, Sadie and Gentry Stunting
playing frisbee and
feeding the ducks! We hit the road to head home around 1:00 pm getting home around 5:00 pm. It was a great weekend, full of sports, food, ice cream, cougar tails, hikes and family...some of my favorite things.
