Yep, you read that right...I am now officially the mother of a teenager. (She pinkie promised me that she will be a good teenager) I throw my girls a big friends birthday party every other year. This year was an off year so Calli wasn't planning on anything but cake and ice cream with grandparents...but it's a 13th birthday, so I had to "go big or go home" So, we threw her a surprise birthday party...and boy, was she surprised!
Adam picked her up and took her on a few errands, when they got home she ran to the front door, finding in unlocked and thought that it was unusual and wondered if a stranger was in our house. She walked in and turned on the light just as everyone jumped out and yelled "Surprise" she screamed and flew backwards, it was a great reaction. After her heart started beating again she jumped right in and had a ball.
The party was from 6-10pm
The crew eating pizza.
Playing "mouse"...
"Poke and Snort"...
and the flour game.
Opening presents.
After we had played all the planned games we turned them loose in the house. They all ended up in the bonus room playing foosball, air hockey and ping pong. The party finally ended just before midnight, since most of the kids were in walking distance and no of them wanted to go home...welcome to the teenage years, right?
For her real birthday, she got a "Troy" cake and had ice cream with family.
She got how to train your dragon, a petco gift card, and roller blades.
Now that all the girls have roller blades it has become a necessity to wear them at all times...even while doing chores.
