St. George and Ivins was hit hard with an ALL day snow storm. I have lived here my entire life and never remember a snow fall like this one. The girls took full advantage of it and played it for about 12 hours straight. Stopping here and there to warm-up, change socks, sip hot chocolate and eat lunch. But, other than that they played in it from 10:00 am-10:00 pm. They played in our back yard, front yard, grandpa's yard, went down to the park with their sleds to slide down the hills and then came back and did it all over again. Picture overload of their fun snow-filled day!
Saturday morning. The snow had just started to fall.

The road in front of our house.
Grandpa even joined in the fun and helped put the finishing touches on their snowman.

Troy and Mitzi didn't seem to mind at all. They played in it all day as well.
Later that day Adam and I went to Lin's to get stuff for Sunday dinner. The roads continued to get worse and worse.
The aftermath...
The snow in St. George was such a huge event. Pictures and updates were plastered all over face book, instagram and twitter. It was being talked about on every news channel. Because St. George doesn't have the equipment needed to clear roads, roads were closed, the airport was shut down, there were hundreds of accidents, churches were cancelled for Sunday and residents were asked to stay home.
Not us though, we still had church. This is the Red mountain on our walk back home Sunday.
What crazy, cold fun day. It sure did make it feel like Christmas though.
