In between trek and girls camp we packed up again and headed to Pine Valley for a Peterson Reunion.
It's been a few years since we have had a annual Peterson Reunion. We used to go to Pine Valley all the time with the Peterson's and camp, but after mom passed we haven't got together as often as we used to. So we were excited when dad reserved a spot in Pine Valley for the family for the weekend. We were small in numbers because many have moved and couldn't make it, but we still had fun.
Calli hanging out on the motor home floor talking to Damon on the way, before she lost service for the weekend.
The family (grandma, grandpa, Isaac, Lindee, Weston Shaylee, Travis and our family.) hanging out in the shade down by the river. I love Pine Valley. It's one of my favorite camping spots.
Calli begging grandpa to tell some of his old highway patrol stories.
He finally gave in...he has the best life stories. They never get old. The girls loved listening to all his adventures.
The girls playing a little soccer. We also had a competitive game of ladder ball.
The girls seeing that Travis was still sleeping in his hammock decided to sneak up and dump him out...to bad he was really awake and heard the whole plan. Just as they went to dump him out, he jumped and screamed, scarring the girls half to death. It was great.
Grandpa and Adam on breakfast duty. Photo bomb by Calli.
Adam and Gentry relaxing.
We had 20 black airplanes fly over Saturday afternoon. It was crazy. Grandpa counted everyone of them...7, 7 planes...8, 8 planes. By the time he got to 20 we were all rolling...and hoping there went many more planes.
Afternoon at the reservoir fishing.
Like dad, like daughter. The girls love to fish and Adam loves having daughters that love to fish.
Calli had been so used to summer soccer conditioning each morning that she got a little antsy and really wanted to go running "through the forest" after much reluctance we finally agreed. She loved it.
Games, Games, Games.
The girls waiting for dad to finish Dutch oven dinner.
We had a great, relaxing and fun weekend, just getting away and enjoying the beautiful weather and each other.
