Summer Fun!

Summer Odds and Ends and how we kept ourselves busy:

Had a World's Cup Soccer Party with family and friends. The Women's National Team came away with the win. It was such a good game. 

Gentry was finally able to cross THIS off her bucket list.

 For over a year now she has talked about sitting on this dinosaur as part of her bucket list. She was so excited to finally get it done. 

 Went to a job with Adam in Kanab and drove back through Zion. These animals were just hanging out on the side of road. It was a nice day to just get away for a bit.

 Sadie's Mia Maid Adviser texted me these one night after mutual.  So cute! They had done a picture Scavenger Hunt.

 Went to Jaicelyn's birthday party at Jeremy and Sharla's house.

 and I had to prove to my girls and nieces and nephews that even at almost 40 I still got it!

 Had a fun night of Smores, Outdoor Movie and Sleepover. 

Hannah Maybe was staying with us for the weekend. 

 Had another ultimate Frisbee game with Terry and Sheri and family. 

 Went and watched the Daddy VS Daughter softball game for YW

 Calli pitching. It was sooo much fun! I hope they make it an annual activity. 

 Kristen and I went on an adventure. 

We attempted to take the kids to Glitter Mountain. And after getting lost, ending up on a road not meant for vehicles, taking it anyway, going through ditches, washes, over lava rocks, getting scratches on the car and laughing our heads off all the while blasting Indiana Jones music...we finally found it.

 It was pretty cool and the kids loved digging for the gypsum. 

Break for snacks and shade. 

 While we were having adventures at glitter mountain, Calli was having adventures of her own. 

Hannah had some friends from up north come down and they all had a blast caving, skim boarding, playing soccer and going to the lake. 

She also saved the world with Megan and friends while paint balling. 

Got these beauty's in the mail. Disneyland Scentsy's! Does life get any better than having your house smell like Disney all year round? 

We had a informative FHE. We have been taking turns each week teaching the lesson. As soon as we have all taught a lesson we can go do a fun FHE activity...tonight was Adam's turn. 

He thought the girls needed a Life Lesson and taught them how to check the oil and change a tire.

 It was a hit. 

After one of the big Summer Rain Storms, Gentry, Weston and Shaylee took full advantage of all the mud.

Calli's has had this growth on her eye for over a year now. The Dr. said it's nothing to be worried about. But lately it has really been bothering her so we took her back to the eye doctor.

While waiting for the Dr. she was trying on glasses and came across these goggles. She put them on and said she felt like a pilot and then "flew" around the room shooting at things. She even did a somersault. It was hilarious. I swear I am raising the biggest nerds.  Anyway, her growth is called "Surfer's Eye" which is caused from exposure to the sun so she just got some drops and we need to get her some sunglasses to see if that  helps. If not, she'll have to go have it surgically removed. She was hoping she'd get to wear a pirate patch but I guess her pilot goggles will have to do for now.

We also got to go see Sister Act at Tuacahn, It was so funny!! Calli brought her friend Aubrey Gooch.

We've had a lot of fun this summer. Can't believe it's coming to an end. Back to School is right around the corner.
