Calli's Missionary Journey!...so far

August-September 2016
Calli started working on her mission papers.

We were so busy during those few months with school, soccer, Calli working and me working two jobs that finding time to sit and work on them were few and far between.
Hitting the submit button on one of the pages.
We found some time to go do some missionary shopping. She found this outfit and it is soo cute. She looks just like a missionary. We also moved ahead with her appointments needed for the papers.
 Doctor Visit
 Shots!

Dentist
and Wisdom Teeth!
But, we soon hit a snag as we realized her neck that we had been working on and off on (previous posts) was not getting better. I was nervous to just move forward where she was still needing pain medication daily, still having headaches and occasionally getting dizzy and nauseous.
We soon found the answer in December.

Sheri recommended their friend Dr. Jared Gough that is a physical therapist. He immediately knew what it was and what we needed to do to fix it.  It was an old injury and had built up scar tissue. He said that she would need at least 5 sessions ($1000) and then he would give us the okay to turn in the papers when he saw the results he was looking for. I almost started crying right there in his office. Finally, there was a light at the end of the tunnel.  She took a couple set backs during the sessions as her body reacted to the treatment. She was in a dark place. She was often moody. She knew what she wanted more than anything and was so close but still so far away. Life was a little miserable for all of us for those couple of months as we tried to work through it.  The day she got the okay was amazing. It was like instantly this weight had been lifted off of her and she has been so joyful. We met with the bishop that Sunday (January 8, 2017) and he gave her the okay as well to turn in her papers. We came right home and had them submitted to him that night.

We took a few pictures for submission but ended up choosing this one.

She had another appointment with bishop Galbraith the next Sunday (January 15, 2017) and then he submitted them to President Robinson. That Tuesday (January 17, 2017) she had an appointment with the stake president and came home ecstatic. He would submit her papers that night and they would be there the next morning.
She walked into a mini party with her favorite...cheesecake! We were so proud of her and all her hard work and determination to get to this point. The stars finally aligned for her and she was on cloud nine.
She immediately called grandparents and
got emotional.
A few days later grandma and grandpa Losee paid her a visit and...
gave her money for her mission fund.
I set up my missionary corner that I had been anticipating. A lot of the stuff I had made for Christmas.
Is it possible to have a full heart and a broken heart at the same time? We are so excited for her and this next chapter in her life. We are so proud of the young women she has become and her testimony in this gospel.
She kept in close contact with the bishop continuing to check on the progress. Two weeks later her call was assigned (Friday, January 27, 2017) Bishop Galbraith called her as soon as he knew. It was mailed (January 31, 2017) and  She received her call on February  3, 2017. and opened it the same day.
