Being over Beehives I didn't go to youth conference this year, but Sadie and Gentry both went and had a great time!
The youth and leaders went to the Manti Pageant.
We went when the girls were younger but they don't remember much so I was glad they got to go again.
We have the best youth. Sadie and Gentry really loved hanging out with everyone and getting to know all the youth better. Since youth conference, Gentry has formed this group of friends with both YM and YW from the ward and they all hang out all the time. It's the cutest thing.
Sadie and Ashley meeting some of the cast members.
Some of my favorite people!
They spent two days in Manti and did some fun things. Other than they pageant, they rented out the city pool and went swimming, camped at the Manti park, had speakers come and talk to them, they had a testimony meeting, they went to the Manti cemetery and other church history sites and then stopped at Cove Fort on the way. It was a success! On Sunday one of our speakers were sick so we had extra time. Brother Flowers started calling up youth to talk about girls camp and youth conference. Sadie was one to get called up to bear her testimony. She did awesome, made a lot of ward members teary and got a lot of compliments. I loved it. I love the youth. There is such power in them. As soon as Brother Flowers announced that youth were going to come bear their testimonies and started naming youth to come up you could just feel this switch...the spirit was so strong. It was a great sacrament meeting! I was so proud of Sadie!
(Adam trying to look tough)...while the kids are away the adults will play. Adam and I had a little "staycation" of our own. Adam has some trade with one of the local hotels so we got a room for two nights and just stayed in town and played.
We went to dinner both nights and also saw two movies: Jurassic World and Solo.
we also, went Toy Hauler shopping...(Another post) It was so nice just to come and go as we'd like and relax. Adam has been so stressed with work that it was good to see him relax and de-stress for a bit. It was a "good for the soul weekend"
