My "Quarantine Post" was getting a bit long so I broke it up a bit. On Saturday, April 18th we went on a muddy little adventure = Covid medicine for the soul.
The crew: Peterson's Johansen's and Cains
We drove out to Gunlock and unloaded the toys and hit the trails from there.
Stopping for a few minutes to let the boys play with their guns and shoot up stuff.
Back on the trail. We went from Gunlock the back way past Diamond Valley, Dameron Valley and Central, then over to Baker Reservoir.

After Baker we headed towards Pine Valley. Check out that view. The whole day we had been chasing a storm. We were always just behind it. We never did get rained on but we sure found the mud!
Muddy Windsheilds!
The mud was flipping up from our tires and throwing mud everywhere, including at us. The further we drove the bigger the mud clots got. By the time we stopped we were dodging baseball sized mud balls. It was hysterical. We could just hear sighs, grunts and groans and "oh nos" and "seriously" coming from Gentry in the back seat as she continued to get pelted. We were laughing so hard.
Another pit stop to check out the mud covered machines.

As we drove up and over Pine Valley Mountain, we were welcomed by this amazing view. It looked like a cute little swiss village at the base of the alps.
The view was totally worth all the slipping and sliding through the mud to get there.
At this point we had already been riding for close to 5 hours so we hit the highway all the way back to out starting point in Gunlock spraying mud the entire way.

It was such a fun day. Getting out of the house, getting some fresh air, getting a lot muddy, getting hit by baseball sized mud clods and getting to spend time with friends...at 6 feet apart was just what the doctor ordered.
