Relief Society!

It's been about a month since I was called into the Relief Society Presidency and so far we have had weekly meetings, visited sisters, a death in the ward, a hospitalization and an activity. This calling is keeping me hopping, that's for sure. But we had a blast at our first activity as a new presidency.
I'm the counselor over activities, so when they said they wanted to do one quick I got my thinking cap on. We decided to do a ward parade and try to reach out to those that are completely quarantined and don't get out to church. It actually turned out sooo good. We had so much fun, saw so many from the ward and received so many compliments.
Adam wasn't too sure about me decorating his razor...but it sure was cute!!

Some of our cute parade participants...We sent out invits, inviting ward members to either drive in the parade with us or cheer for us from their homes as we passed. We had about a dozen cars and 25 people  show up to join us.
Elise Pettegrew and her cute Disney Car!
The Stouts and their fun train!
The Cains and the Mechams in their machines.
Getting ready to head out.
Along the way we handed out popsicles and these inspirational thoughts.
Borrowmans, Craigs and Harris Families.
Flowers, Cazins and Sewells
Shauna's inactive neighbors and friends.

Halfway through the parade Stouts broke down...we could not do the parade without them. The train was the highlight of the parade... so we towed them with our razor the rest of the route. Haha!

It worked like a charm!!

After we completed our route in and out of all the neighborhoods, we stopped at Stouts to drop them off and everyone stopped, got out and visited and ate popsicles until dark.
The RS Presidency: Helen Furr, Shauna Gardner, Amanda Mecham and myself. It was a joint effort from all of us and turned out better than we imagined. We make a great team.
Not parade related but definitely relief society related...we made this cute cooler to put on members front porches when meals are needed.
It was such an inspired idea by Helen and sure turned out cute! So far so good. This calling is so far outside my comfort zone that I was pretty nervous to accept but the ladies are awesome and we have already accomplished some great things.
