August 2021

August was jam packed with lots of things going on!
Saw these cute birds sitting on the wire while out on an evening walk and just thought it was the cutest thing.
August brought on more projects...It's been like a domino effect we started months ago and just can't stop. Haha!
We bought a log dresser to match our room. Adam helped me put it together and then I stained and lacquered it.

Love how it turned out.

After we got the dresser set up, we realized we needed to update our sofa table. We already had one with a glass top underneath the TV so Adam built a new top for it to match the other furniture.
Love, Love, Love!!

I also added a new vinyl to Sadie and Gentry's bathroom just to pull it altogether.

We had a couple more awesome rain with lightning and thunder storms.

We had a couple outdoor movie nights
with snuggles and
banana splits
We also had an indoor movie/pizza night watching the new Jungle Cruise. We all loved it!
We had lots of smokey skies from the California fires.

Gentry went to Girls Camp with the Stake as a YCL to Kolob and had such a great time.
Boy, were we glad to have her home. She was gone Tuesday to Saturday. I think that's the longest she has ever been away from home.
We missed our little caboose and dating buddy.
Went to a job with Adam and had to snap a picture of him crawling in a pump room vault. :)
Adam surprised me with flowers and a treat. He is a keeper!

Helped with a ward "Getting to Know You" Dinner. With our ward growing by about 200 members when we combined with Kayenta during covid we've been doing lots of activities to get to know each other better.
Gentry went to the salon for a Back to School cut and color.

She went darker and it is so pretty.

We had our 2nd Bunco Night since returning from Covid. So fun and so good be to back with these ladies.
Adam and I went for a hike. It had been a while since our last one. It felt good to get back out there and fill our lungs with fresh air.

We hiked Hell Hole again. One of our favorites!

I found a comfy rock to lay down on to rest while Adam flew his drone around and ended up taking a little cat nap.
It was so quiet and so relaxing.
I love  being out in nature. It does a body good.
Gentry and I were feeling ambitious one Sunday and made bread and rolls from grinding our own wheat!

Adam and I laughed out loud one morning, when we walked downstairs and found Gentry’s hamster that she had just got (first night) grounded to the downstairs study because it was too noisy and kept running in its wheel. She LOVES her sleep and took him downstairs in the middle of the night. Haha!!
My mom planned a big dinner for everyone that lives close to celebrate Kass and Kale moving here. They will cohabitat with Calli for a while.
It was soo good to see everyone and visit
And so yummy!!
Found a hidden Mickey on my walk around the block break at work!
Sadie became a nanny for this cutie. She will watch Jaden Coons (Megan Jolley Coons little boy) every Wednesday from 9:00-4:00. She’s pretty excited!

Finished out the month with more beautiful skies but seriously, where did August go?
