Peterson Reunion and Gentry’s Birthday!

Ever since mom Peterson passed away, Adam has been the glue to hold his family together and this reunion was no different. He planned it, he booked it, he paid for it and pulled it all off. He is such a kind and genuine person but doesn’t let too many people see that side of him. We planned the reunion the weekend of his dads birthday at his families two favorite spots, Enterprise and Pine Valley.
We kicked off the reunion Saturday morning, August 28th in Enterprise for the corn fest.
I saw this monster of a slide and couldn’t pass it up.
The hardest part was actually getting to the top through all the ropes. But Trasen and I did it!!

All of us crazy adults watching Emery, Gracie and Sami jump. It was so much fun having “littles” around again!
After the Corn Fest, we all met at Isaac’s for lunch. We hadn't representation from every family except Micah’s.
It was fun to sit and visit, laugh, catch up and eat. It had been a long time of not seeing some of the family.
Austin was heading back to BYU the next morning, so they just came for the Corn Fest and Lunch and then headed back home.
We all migrated to the back yard.
Beautiful

More visiting…
And laughing…
And cake and ice cream for grandpas birthday!

All the cousins young and old had a fun time catching the chickens.
Couldn’t let this day pass without some pictures.
All the siblings but Micah.

All the grandkids and great grandkids that were present!
All of the family!
Around 4:00 we said our goodbyes to those that could only come for the day and headed to Pine Valley
We reserved the group site Effie Beckstrom.
Banner I had made to welcome the crew!
I love Pine Valley! It was such a beautiful weekend.
The group site was huge. It could accommodate up to 80 people so we had plenty of room to roam.
We each had our own camping spot!

Levi’s spot
He builds these trailers from scratch and can customize it with anything you’d like.
After we all found our spots and got settled we jumped right in where we left off at Isaac’s and had so much fun!!
We cooked…a lot!
And ate…a lot!!

We long boarded. (Calli and Levi had two little shadows all weekend it was so cute watching them with Graccie and Sami)

We visited and chatted!

We hung out around the fire!
We made s’mores and wore glow sticks
We star gazed!
We went on walks

And enjoyed the Pine Valley scenery.

We played lots and lots of games

We arm wrestled!
We had a water balloon fight.

We napped

And we partied while celebrating grandpa and Gentry’s Birthdays!!
Complete with gifts…
Candles, cake, ice cream and
Smiles!
She got Lululemon shorts, a sweat shirt, necklace, wallet, pull up bar, a hydroflask boot and Spotify gift card.
Even as I post this, I still can’t believe it!! Happiest 18th Birthday to our baby and caboose, Gentry Bo! Adam and I are officially parents to all adults! Bo, our family would not be complete without you. You are witty, smart, funny, creative and beautiful inside and out. You keep us laughing with your sense of humor and your intelligence of everyday facts  you love to share at the most random times! Thanks for being you! We love you forever!
We all stayed until late Sunday night not wanting the fun weekend to end. As we were packing up we saw huge billows of smoke coming over the mountain. It was so close. We found out later that an unattended campfire in Oak Grove started the fire, burning over 200 aches and evacuating Oak Grove Campsite!

We never did see actual flames but there were a couple fire trucks that drove through, probably just taking inventory, just in case.
I am sure blessed to be a part of this family. We had such a great time and a great turn out! We took a vote to repeat it again every year. Same time and same place! Can’t wait! Thanks Adam for all your hard work!!
