Adam’s Christmas gift came early!

Christmas Eve morning, Adam and I went for a hike on the dike. It the perfect start to our day!
After our hike, Mati showed up and Adam and him went in the bonus room to watch a movie while I made Christmas Crack. This was one of my favorite memories from the season. Just watching Christmas movies, with the lights glowing and making Christmas treats on Christmas Eve. (Calli and Levi had ran to Pine Valley to see his dad, so we entertained Mati for the day)
That night we met up with everyone at China Palace for our annual Christmas Eve dinner and then to the gardens to walk around with hot chocolate and then drove around looking at lights!
Mati called his parents at midnight (Argentina time) to do their annual toast. We were at the garden so he found a lit area and chatted with them for a minute!

Decided to teach Mati how to play spoons. It was a crazy, loud, fun start to our night!
Ended the night lighting our last candle on the Immanuel Wreath. I loved this new tradition. The girls even helped set up Christmas and stuff their stockings. First time for everything. Love the changing family dynamics.

Adam dubbed Mati as a real samurai after he opened his sword. This was an inside joke from the last time he was here when Adam told him he wasn’t a real samurai without a real sword. Haha!

The “kids” didn’t get up until 9:30 and then they really took their time opening gifts until after 11:00. After Christmas gifts we quickly cleaned up and started on Christmas Dinner which was at 2:00pm. Mati was a huge help. It was cute watching Adam teach Mati how to carve a turkey etc.
It was so good seeing everyone! After dinner, Calli and Levi left to celebrate their Christmas and Sadie went and spent time at Deming’s. We watched The Rescue again with Mati and few stragglers.
Knowing all the kids were coming back we set up another Nerf Gun War for Levi. He had seen our video with Austin and said that’s all he wanted…we were happy to oblige. :)
Happy Boy. He even brought his gun back that we had given him for Christmas in anticipation.

We ended the night with some poker. It had been several days of late, late nights, little sleep, lots of junk food and I wouldn’t change a thing. We had a wonderful holiday season and weekend! We are blessed!!
