I was excited to wake up and see our countdowns finally look like this.
Checked the Disney Ship Locator and the ship had arrived. It was already at the port waiting for us.
Everyone was so excited to finally see this day we had long awaited for. We could hardly believe it was happening.
All smiles and two thumbs up from these three.
All ready with their carry-ons.
Leaving the Hotel
We had drove to the port the night before just to make sure we knew exactly where we were going. It was just a short 5 minute drive before we saw the ship come into view for the first time.
There were squeals of delight from all 7 of us. Yes, even the men squealed, okay, maybe that was just in my head:)
We parked at the Wyndham directly across the street.
Wow! It was huge.
Dropped off our luggage and headed inside the terminal.
Once inside, we went through security. Sadie was hilarious. She was so nervous. I wished I would have snapped a picture of her walking through the metal detectors, she was so tense. I don't know what she would have done had it gone off.
On the way to check-in I was handed our first Navigator. I was probably a little more excited than I should have been.
Waiting in line to check-in we could see the ship from inside. Eeek!
Check-in went smooth and we each got our Key to the World card. Another super exciting moment for me. So glad I researched and knew to bring land yards. These cards were our lifeline and were kept on us 24 hours a day. They were our room key, got us on and off the ship and our charge card.
Last stop, picture with Minnie!
We sat down for a few minutes before they started calling out numbers to board, before we knew it they called our's.
I love this picture of Sadie heading to the ship. The whole terminal process was one of my favorite parts. They were so organized and the process was so easy, plus the anticipation building made it that much more fun.
One last check of our KTTW cards and we were off.
Disney Wonder
As we approached the ship a cast member asked us our last name and we were introduced and welcomed onto the ship.
We entered on the third deck, right into the Atrium. Each ship has it's own unique statue. The Wonder's is Little Mermaid right in front of the Triton's Restaurant.
We decided to hit the Beach Blanket Buffet first thing.
Shrimp, shrimp, shrimp my girls, dad and Adam were in heaven.
We got a great table right on the deck by the water.
Cute little Robyn Tugboat.
Grandpa was one happy man with his plate of food. First of many.
And Adam looked pretty relaxed already.
Fun Desserts
While Calli and Sadie were reloading their plates, a seagull landed on their table with Gentry still sitting there and flew away with one of Sadie's shrimp.
After lunch we decided to go check out our staterooms.
We were on the 6th deck Forward.
Right by the elevators, which was sooo nice.

Home Sweet Home for a few days
The rooms were more spacious than we were anticipating. We had plenty of room for our stuff.
The split bathroom was awesome.
Made getting ready with girls a breeze.
Cute Mickey Stuff
and Mickey towels. Little Disney touches were everywhere.
Sadie laughed and laughed at the blow dryer in the bathroom. Luckily, they had a real one in the drawers as well.
Closet and Life Jackets.
Picture of Walt and Lilly.
We loved having a port hole. Everyone could be found on a daily basis standing and peering out at the water.
Sadie waving at the window washers.
Love this picture!! If this doesn't scream Disney Cruise I don't know what does...
After decorating our doors and
hanging our fish extender pockets we set out on a Ship Tour.
(Disney Cruise Line has a program called Fish Extenders where guests trade gifts with other guests and cabins. We wanted to try it but not to the full extent so we just traded with each other...so fun!)
Ship Tour
Art Gallery. Lots of the art on the ship is for sale.
Getting acquainted with the layout.
Walked back by the Atrium
We were surprised to see people still getting on.

Coast Guard seeing us out
That night we had our first live Broadway show.
We watched Toy Story
Of course it was adorable.
After the show and before dinner we had some time to spare.
Disney does Rotational Dining so you can eat at each of the different restaurants.
Our first night we ate at Triton's
Awesome Mural
Loved that we could eat whatever we wanted and try new things.
Calli took full advantage of this and ordered Snails.
We all tried them. They were actually pretty tasty despite the picture.
We had the best dining staff. Oscar and Thatree. They loved us and we loved them. They loved playing games with the entire table. We had so much fun with them.
After dinner we caught the game show "Mickey Mania"
And then headed back to the room
The girls were excited to find surprises in their pockets.
Disney gift cards and a note to Sadie from her club counselors inviting her to the club.
Gentry loved her bunk bed.
We ordered some Mickey bars from room service before bed. We all crashed from our exciting and exhausting day.
