Bryce Canyon!

November 3-4, 2017
We sure love when Adam has out of town jobs that we get to tag along on. He had a quick heater job in Bryce Canyon that they comped him a room for so we turned it into a family getaway.

Amazing skies on the drive there.
We stayed at the Bryce Canyon Lodge.
The girls and I went and checked out the General Store in the hotel while Adam ran to his job.
He caught up to us while we were still there and joined in on the fun.
After the store the girls went swimming. We then grabbed some treats from the vending machine and headed back to our room for the night.
Views of the lake the next morning from our room.
We walked down to the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast and then walked across the street to some cute little shops.

The shops were closed for the winter put we still found a couple photo ops!! After playing around a bit we jumped in the truck and headed to the Canyon. We stopped at the visitor center on the way.

 Gopher Time!!
 Cute little Junior Ranger.
I'm embarrassed to say we have never taken our kids to Bryce Canyon. But we all loved it and the views were breathtaking.
We found out that one of the most popular trails is the Navajo/Queens Garden Loop that goes from Sunrise Point to Sunset Point. So we decided to give that one a try. It was perfect!

It was a 3 mile hike and took us a couple hours. It was awesome!
 Hitting the trail!

So many cool tunnels and caves along the way.

 Two Bridges.
 Cool views of rocks and...
 this guy!

 Chipmunk!
Switchback trail we had to hike at the end to get back to the top, it was hard but worth it when we got to the top and Thor's hammer came into view.

 Holding Thor's Hammer.

 Back on top and....

so happy to have the strenuous part over!! We all loved it and had a great day. After the hike we drove to a few look-out points and then hit the road. Adam had always wanted to stop at this cave/museum that he passes all the time by Kanab so we went through Kanab on our way home and stopped at the Moqui Cave.
It was pretty neat. Crazy that some guy who bought the cave 100 years ago was able to turn it into a museum. It was a lot bigger than we had anticipated too.

 Fluorescent Minerals inside the cave.
Awesome skies pulling back into town. We got home around 6pm Saturday Night.
Gentry took this cool picture along the trail. We sure missed Calli but it was a great day spent with Sadie and Bo!
