Pine Valley
First and Last Camping Trip. First of the Summer and Last with my 3 girls (for 18 months)
Gentry enjoying the Muddy Buddies
The girls and Troy went off on an adventure...
Adam had brought Walkie Talkie's. The girls took one and we kept one at camp. It was so funny talking "trucker" back and forth with them. It got quite creative with nicknames and everything. (Calli-Big Mac, Sadie-Pig Mac, Gentry-Baby Mac, Adam-Papa Mac and Me-Mama Mac)
Adam and I playing speed and doubles. This was after I had won him and he chucked the cards across the table. Haha! He did finally beat me on the last day.
Before we left the girls asked if they could go to the library and grab some books. That in itself was surprising because none of my girls are really big readers. but...
They all read their books all weekend. Sadie actually finished one and started another. Love it!
It was so good to see Adam relax. He has been so stressed lately with work and everything entailed in getting Calli ready.
Gentry and Sadie brought their school work to burn. I thought it was brilliant. Goodbye school...hello summer!
Friday night we combined dinner with Lyman and Marilee who had a site for the whole week a few sites away from ours. After dinner Grandpa entertained the girls with old highway patrol stories.
Heading out on a hike.
One out of the three girls made it across the river without getting wet...Sadie made it all the way, Gentry made it but got her feet wet and Calli completely biffed it landing in the water...good times.
Gorgeous sunset.
Popcorn...
games and stories around the fire.
Gentry did not sleep well that first night. She woke up the next morning, walked to the hammock and fell back asleep for an hour. Adam was up and down a few times as well, letting Troy in and out...it was like waking up with an infant every few hours.
That afternoon we walked to the reservoir and did some fishing, it was great. Adam even caught a fish.
Came back from the reservoir hot and tired.

Homemade ice cream was just what we needed.
Sadie using the hammock to shake her ice cream.
Gentry trying her's out...Delicious!
Love these three musketeers of mine!
That night we invited my parents up for Adam's dutch oven chicken, potatoes and my peach cobbler.

After dinner the girls got on the motor home roof to watch the sunset. Great food, Great company and a Great time. That night we all slept better including Troy. So glad we got a camping trip in before Calli leaves in 8 days on her mission!
